Sal's Famous Pizzeria

since i hadn't been there before, i appreciated that he greeted us and gave instructions when we walked in. they had a great selection in their showcase when we stopped in at lunchtime. we opted for pasta dishes, though, and the portions were generous. you might note that the lunch and dinner prices can differ quite a bit depending on what time you come in. will be back!

My family is so happy that Sal's Famous Pizzeria went back to their roots, and reopened the restaurant section. The service and pizza tasted like I remembered when they had the full menu sit down restaurant with table service before they converted to a pizza only business with no table service. We were greeted and served by a friendly staff. The tomato dipping sauce for the rolls was delicious with a good balance of oil, tomatoes and herbs. Then we ordered the mozzarella sticks. The cheese was stretchy and creamy, and surrounded by a crispy bread exterior that I found to be a bit thick but still flavorful. The tomato sauce was rich in flavor yet light with a good balance of herbs and garlic. We ordered two large pizzas, a Margherita and a Pepperoni. The pizzas were well baked, thin and crispy with flavorful pepperoni and diced tomatoes toppings. A couple of things I noticed. When the pizzas arrived at the table the cheese had already covered the spots where the pizza was sliced, and as we pulled the slices apart the toppings began to ooze off the crust which leads me to believe that ovens were far too hot. Also, I noticed that there was far too much exposed dough by the crust, and those parts could have been covered with additional toppings. We also ordered cannons for dessert. The sweet, but not too sweet cannol filling, was light and had a good amount of chocolate chips. The cannoli shell was light, and balanced perfectly by the additional dusting of cinnamon on top. Next time we will have entrees. Thank you for the comeback because this area desperately needed a thin crust Italian Pizzeria.

I love all their food, think I've tried almost everything they have a bunch of other good food besides pizza but the pizza is amazing as well, it all is. Best place to eat in Mooresville that I know of.

This was my first time at this restaurant and it didn't disappoint me. Food was exceptional & the service excellent. I recommend it & will be returning. 🫶

Always enjoy eating outside on the patio. Love to support local businesses, especially ones that serve great pizza and stromboli.

Very good meal. Genuine people and flavors that are not easy to find here in the States. A delightful reminder to my taste buds of what MARVELOUS meals are. Honestly, Top Marks to Sal's.

By far the best Italian good in the area. All 3 locations are locally owned and the recipes are delicious!

1st time. Got the special. Stuffed slice, 2 breadsticks, drink. It was good. I will definitely return.

This place has gone down! Garlic knot was hard as a brick. Order was wrong. Chicken was tender but cold, may as well gave me a frozen meal to put in the oven. A block of hard cheese sitting on top. Side salad was wilted and more feta cheese than anything else. Service was okay though. I would've uploaded pics but I opened my packaging and just trashed the whole dang meal out of frustration. 25 buck wasted

Great place for lunch. I always stop here when I'm in Mooresville.

The Baked Ziti & Garlic Bread was Amazing! Definitely worth making another trip here.

Boy was this a nice gem. Server was friendly and attentive. No pizza was ordered to gade, but their dishes were very good.

My husband and I love this place. We try to go once a week. Everything on the menu is delicious. They do offer a punch card. Once your punch card is full, you get a free dinner

Awesome place! They have numerous pizzas and calzone's made that they heat up as ordered. Food was great, quick to get and a large eating area with friendly staff. So glad we had lunch here. Don't pass up.

Always love the opportunity to take the family to Sal's Famous Pizzeria. The service is always on point this trip was no exception kaitlin sorry if sprelled wrong was awesome. Most of our food was great to but something about the pepperoni breadsticks was different there wasn't the usual seasoning on them nor were they brushed with olive oil unsure if under new owners or a new recipe but they need to revert back to how they used to be in my opinion

This is some of the best pizza ever but the entire menu is amazing. Great little place in Mooresville.. Service and atmosphere impeccable. Sals will not disappoint.
