I’m torn. I love Dobbs Park and most of the trails are great, if not short. However, there are a couple of trails that are clearly defined and feel like it’s off trail. Also, it’s clear that Dobbs is low on the order of importance to the parks department as there are still trees down blocking a trail. From last spring. Picture is tree down. But the other side of the park is wonderful. It really is my favorite local hiking park.

I loved this place. The Nature Center and Native American Museum are both fantastic institutions of learning and nature, with plenty to offer those looking to discover the wonder in their community and even their own backyards. If you're looking for some peace and quiet, the bird observatory in the Nature Center is a fabulous place to observe nature at it's most beautiful. Becky was a delight to converse with, and Phoebe the Cat is so friendly and cute. I'd rate an extra 5 stars if I could.

I wanted to go on a nice autumn walk with my dog and wow! It was beautiful from the trails to the leaves. Great place to take a picnic lunch, there are plenty of tables everywhere near the entrance so you won't have to walk far to eat. The nature center has some native species to Indiana including spiny soft shell turtles which I have never seen in person before. They also have birdwatching areas indoors with books and guides of what birds you are seeing. I saw a kids play ground which looked like a great place for the kiddos to burn off some steam before or after lunch. All in all great place to check out!

Throughout the year they have different programs and inside the Nature center they have an observation room where you can bird watch, books on Nature and live animals in aquariums with numerous other exciting things!

Trails here are best the best inside city limits. Regularly see deer and other wildlife.

I like this park for walks in the woods. The trails are wide enough to not worry about coming in contact with poison ivy or plants with ticks -most are well-maintained. There are short and long trails (not over a mile) so you can choose how far you want to walk. This is a nature preserve so the water preserves are natural - expect bugs. I always see wildlife on my walks. Today, the brambles were in bloom which made the walk special with the smell of roses with the tree's flowers.
There is a nice fishing lake and a big playground, shelters, Native American museum and an educational natural science building (you can sit and watch the birds at the feeders.)

This is a small park with a nice playground and nature center. It also has a pond with fishing decks that is very popular. There is a walking trail that circles the pond with bike trail also. I enjoy coming here to sit or walk

My husband and I love Dobbs! It's a quaint little park that is easy to get in a quick walk from our apartment complex. It has a pretty little pond with several fishing areas. There are some shelter houses that can be rented out. The play structure looks very nice, and there is an interesting looking Native American museum. There are actually several trails that can be explored too! It's just a really cool little park.

Went in the nature center for the first time. I was surprised at how big it is and how nice. They really offer a lot to the community. My niece is an animal lover and had a great time. My granddaughter was a different story. She's 6 and hasn't been around animals very much. Cold weather set in so we didn't go back. But I plan on taking them in the Spring(which is coming soon! ).

This is a great park. We hiked the trails and they were short but enjoyable. Perfect for kids. The nature center wasnt open due to Covid but my wife has been there and liked it. There were a lot of people fishing on the pond so it's probably good for fishing. Beautiful little park!

I enjoyed our trip to Dobbs, we went to go walking on the trails, but unfortunately I wasn't thinking about all the snow that had recently melted so the trails were quite muddy. Instead we went inside and checked out the nature center. I really enjoyed the benches available to sit and watch all the birds who came to the feeders behind the center. I thought it was a nice touch to have the microphone outside so you could clearly hear the birds that were outside. It took me a minute to convince my husband we were hearing those actual birds instead of a recording 😂
