Fowler Park-Vigo County Parks and Recreation Department

They hosted a Total Solar Eclipse event for FREE April 8, 2024. The park has a small historical village and it felt very cozy, even though there were a fair amount of people. The staff at the gate were real friendly and directed us where to go. I'd go back for sure!

I have been exploring this park since I was a child. My Grandparents camped here so it holds a special place in my heart.

Love this park. There's lots to look at. Fishing 🎣, swimming 🏊‍♀, photography 📸, camping, and list list goes on and on. Lots of Pokémon stops as well for for you Pokémon Go players like my son. I wish they had a better playground area is my only complaint. Check out the pictures...

This is one of our favorite parks in Terre Haute among so many others we love. We enjoy the trails, swimming, playground, yearly Christmas walk and more.

This place is beautiful. The lake is nice and most of the campsites are on the lake. There is a really cool pioneer village attached to this park. We had fun here.

Love it here. The trails are great. There is so much to see here. The cabins, covered bridge, lake and more. This is a great place for the whole family. I would plan at least an hour for exploring. There is free parking and entry. You can also pay for camping at the lake.

A great vacation spot. I was extremely impressed. I do not know how the fishing is, but looks very promising. Nice areas to primitive camp or camper, electric outlets and water connections available for slight fee..

Great campground. Wooded sites with good spacing. Seems like all are on the water. Primitive, Electric, and electric with water. Interior roads are a little cramped, but we're easily navigable in our 31 foot class A while towing the Jeep. Definitely putting Fowler on our list to return to.

Visited Fowler park for Pioneer Day. Very cool to visit the 1800s. Lots of well maintained homes, a school, store and wagon from another time.

Love the trails that are there for hiking my pup. Not crowded and pup off has never been a problem. He is super well trained, so that might play a role. I love trails and being able to have my trail trained companion with me.

We love this park. Nicely maintained and a beautiful place to camp.

Zombie Run 2020. 5K through Fowler Park on a nice Fall day. A nice small park to hike/walk. Great views and atmosphere. There are some surprising sites and sights inside of Fowler. I'll be back again for sure.

Riverbirch #8 is always worth the extra couple of bucks! (We tent camp) It is so easy to launch our kayaks and come in. The view is fabulous! The people who work here are super nice and keep everything clean and nice! I love being able to be right next to the water!

I met family here a few weeks ago to pick up a costume to borrow. I’d never been here before. We went back to the jungle gym area and my goodness! I’ve never seen one so cool!! It really encourages imagination and has a LOT of things! I’m 31 and I climbed all over it with my 5 & 7 year olds!

Clean camping park. It looked like anywhere you camp you're right on the water. You can cast and go to sleep if you tie a bell on. Buy you won't get much sleep. Cast and within 5 minutes, (more often 2 minutes) you have a bass, cat, hand size bluegill, sunfish. Twice we caught a turtle.
