I am so happy we stopped by this place! My husband doesn’t eat pork, so it’s tough finding a breakfast spot where he feels comfortable eating most things on the menu. It was not a problem here! We had breakfast with French toast, eggs, fried potatoes, and corned beef. It was all so delicious. The only bad thing is the restaurant is three hours away from us. The lady at the counter who took our order was also pleasant. I look forward to our next visit here!

Went in and was greeted by the most friendly staff. They were amazing and the Reuben was amazing! Treated my Autistic daughter very well and spoke to her sweetly and she was excited about her cupcake! Thank you for a pleasant experience, will come back!

Absolutely love this place and the staff! My fiancee has PKU and Oy Vey staff are more than willing to whip something up that he can eat. Food, both bakery and deli, are truly worth the price. Staff are friendly and helpful, I reccomend this very highly whether you eat kosher (my fiancee and I do) or not.

If I could give 10 stars I would! Absolutely the kindest people! We always make a point to stop here when we are in Terre Haute! They treat my little one like one of their own and it always feels like we are dining with friends every time we are there. The best place in town hands down!

Atmosphere isn’t my kind of place, but the workers were so sweet and helpful. We are traveling through and like to eat local and fresh food. We got the burger, falafel, chicken soup, and bacon schmaken sandwich. It was all delicious. I loved the turkey bacon, the bread, and the soup especially. Thank you. Shalom.

We travel all over and this is hands down some of the finest falafel in the continental US. The curry is also sublime. The Turkish coffee warms your heart and lifts your spirit. The south African sweet potato stew is a symphony of flavor, well orchestrated with spices you can taste have been allowed to ripen over time. If you are looking for hearty and ACTUALLY good vegan/vegetarian food that tastes like real food cooked and prepared by loving hands, please don't hesitate to stop by for a little slice of the sublime in Indiana. Oh, and if you are offered a slice of homemade iced apple pie with homemade whipped cream on the side... Even if you are already overstuffed from the oversized portions, don't deny yourself the pleasure. (Fun fact, I wasn't told the homemade whipped cream was vegan until after the fact... And I would have never guessed- THAT'S how good this place is!) And the real icing on the cake is that these are real good people here. Chavah, or "mama" as she is called by her children who work with her in this family run establishment, is like a beacon of good on this earth. A Ray of sunshine in what can feel like a sea of despondency. For authentic Jewish food in the Midwest and some cheer and love heaped on the side, come to Oy Vey!

Came here for dinner with our dairy free toddler. First plus, they are kosher so no dairy in the facility at all so we weren’t afraid of cross contamination. Second- we ordered a small chicken noodle for him since they didn’t have a dedicated kids menu. but instead the gave us a toddlers heaven of noodles, fruit and veggies. My kid INHALED every bit of it and the chicken noodles were amazing. Staff was super friendly as well!

I was so excited to try this restaurant. The menu was very extensive and it was hard to decide. I had the falafel wrap and latkes on the side. The latkes were served with homemade apple sauce. It was such a tasty treat. My husband ordered the Healthy Bowl with falafel and it was delicious also. I’m from out of town here only for the weekend but hope to get back one more time.

Cute little place with amazing food. My girlfriend has a lot of dietary restrictions and they were more than kind about abiding by them. She had the kosher club and chicken noodle soup, it was huge and delicious! I had the falafel platter and everything was amazing, fresh and the potion was giant! The baked goods were phenomenal. The staff were all sweet and helpful. Will definitely be going whilst we’re in town!

I got Theresa's French Toast Sandwich. It was very good and a friend said their tofu was great. The lady was super nice and the place smelled amazing. I plan to bring my family back to try more.

Love this place. Was in visiting a friend and stopped by for breakfast before we left town. The staff was super friendly, and the food was totally on point. My wife and I had the Oy Vey Egg Rollup and the kids both had French Toast. The Rollup was almost enough for two people, and for $5 you can’t beat that size of breakfast. It had a wonderful curry spice to it that gave a nice bit of heat to the breakfast masterpiece. I would definitely have it again. The kids loved the French Toast too. They really liked the thicker bread as opposed to plain old slices of toast. It also came with syrup and honey for you to choose from.

You get what you pay for, the place is a little pricey for Terre Haute but I think it's got the best food of any restaurant in Terre Haute and the rabbi and her family are wonderful people, we had a bit of a hiccup years ago when I was in there but we have fixed that and the family is wonderful and I feel like a friend when I go in there, so I'm back to going in there on a regular basis, if you haven't been there you owe it to yourself to check it out. They will actually customize your food for you if you ask them to. They're even pet friendly if you have a very well-behaved and very clean dog 🐕, and he is an EMS dog as well, they're very friendly to my dog and spoil him just like they do me, I would strongly recommend that you visit them you won't be disappointed.

Been here a handful of times, and the food is so delicious. The family is very kind hearted and you can tell the food was cooked with love. I like the turkey meat options cause I don’t eat pork. Highly recommended. Oh and you’ll have plenty of whatever it is you order. 👌🏾

Got to check out this little family run business yesterday on my way back home.
So many vegan options it was hard to choose.
I chose the South African Sweet Potato Stew and the Nepalese Vegan Roll up. The flavors were outstanding. The Roll up was filled with crispy spiced tofu and potatoes and the curry sauce just put this dish over the top! The Sweet Potato Stew was the warm and spicy soup I needed warm me up on a wet and chilly fall day.
I will definitely come back the next time I’m in the area.

Staying overnight in town and wanted to get some dinner from a local restaurant. This checks all the boxes. Staff was very friendly even on this cold snowy evening. They offered suggestions, and I was very pleased with everything! The soup was so flavorful and almost a meal in itself. The Kat sandwich was also delicious! It was hard to choose just one dessert from the selection. I will definitely come back on my next visit to town.

I was in town today and decided to Google "falafel Terre Haute". Oy Vey was the first thing that popped up so I took a look at their menu. I was very happy to see so many vegan and vegetarian foods.

I ordered the falafel on pita. It was tricky to eat just because of the amount of vegetables and falafel on the pita as well as the thickness of the pita bread. Because of this it didn't fold too well but that's how I ate it. It was so, so, so good! That yellow sauce was excellent.

I can't wait to come back and have my wife try it. I sent her a picture and she said it looked wonderful (it was). I took some baked goods and soups back home and they were all good too.

The local vegetarian restaurant recently closed down and I have been kind of frustrated trying to find good food in Terre Haute. I'm so happy I found Oy Vey!

Turkish Coffee was so amazing, food was great, the staff is so nice! My only complaint would be some of the food was warm but not hot. Will definitely be back.
