First time dining at Marmo, and we both loved 😍 it..
Selection of entrees will satisfy almost all types of diners as well as wine 🍷 selection..

Our waiter was very knowledgeable on the restaurant's entrees preparation...service was at a relaxing pace, very much appreciative of that...

Valet parking is suggested...

It's more of an upscale restaurant with a bright ambiance, and, be prepared to spend $$$

Top tier happy hour!!! We literally order everything and split between three people. Such a treat. Tonight we ordered the blue crab bruschetta, BEST BRUSCHETTA IN THE CITY. Scallops with sweet potato puree and short rib pieces. Truly a decadent dish that’s not too rich. The scallops are seared to perfection. Squid ink pasta is a must each time! I was so nervous to try it the first time and I expected more acidic metallic taste, but it is so buttery and delicious. Bar staff is amazing!! And the live music is such a sweet touch.

I have been here many times for many occasions- casual dinner with friends, work dinners, birthday celebrations- and it’s always a good time. They are very receptive to my gluten intolerance and can make adjustments when needed.

Came for a birthday dinner and everything was absolutely amazing, including the service from our waiter Michael. The cocktails were delicious and I’m happy we decided to try their market steaks. This wagyu was cooked to an absolute perfect medium. It literally melted in your mouth. It was the best steak I’ve had in Houston. The pasta dishes are also all delicious. I got the off menu Cacio e Pepe but the squid ink pasta is another must try. We will absolutely find something to celebrate that warrants coming back really soon.

This place is amazing! The squid Ink pasta is a must have! The oysters are always delicious and the Tuscan fried chicken is bomb! The atmosphere is chill and they have a piano and singer near the bar. Very chill vibes. Great for a date night or girls dinner 🍽

Wonderful new-ish (1 year old) space, beautifully set up and elegantly designed, in the fancy but still casual mixed-use space Montrose Collective, that gives me trendy Dallas or Austin vibes, Marmo is a fantastic addition to the Houston scene. Parking in the underground garage and walking around, maybe having a drink first at Marmo or one of the options around, adds a lot to the experience.

Marmo itself is spacious but elegantly spaced out in different sections and their patio is unique in the sense that unlike 99% of patios in Houston it does not extends to a parking lot or a street but the inside court of the mixed-used development which now gives it European vibes.

The menu is quite wide, upscale and authentic Italian. They also have an extensive wine list. We started with the foie gras au torchon, which was one of the best foie gras I ever had, it was worthy of a Michelin star. It was beautiful to see and eat. Very creative (so not just the piece in the middle of the plate à la française) but laying on top of some bread and below some lychee (?) balls and sweet crumbles that paired beautifully with it, an absolute masterpiece we will be back soon to try again. Our friend tried the carrot salad that looked a bit wild but was delicious. I then had the 1/2 pasta bolognese which was absolutely perfect, probably the best bolognese in Houston. My partner had the special ricotta-mushroom filled fagottini with truffles that was awesome and our friend the brisket that looked good too.

Service was very friendly and professional and the bread lady with her basket is a nice touch you don’t get to see much in Houston.

Overall an outstanding experience.

My only low light is the generally very pricey wine list (got to pay the rent on this corner eventually), would be nice to see some cheaper Amarone or Ripasso Valpolicella or Barolo, none of them below $100 is hard to swallow especially the Ripasso, that has a lot of good options in the $20-$30 retail. Only one Chianti Classico under $100 at $68 is also pushing it. No US cab nor blend below $100! Orin Swift 8years at $140 (vs $40 retail that’s extorsion). So we got forced into drinking Rosé where prices were much friendlier.

Impeccable service, excellent take on Italian cuisine with a Texas slant. We had the following:
Calamari
Affetati piccolo
Bolognese
Rigatoni Alla Vodka
18oz Cowboy Ribeye
Tiramisu

I had an incredible dining experience at Marmo restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the risotto, lobster pasta and squid pasta and the tiramisu dessert. The drinks were also top-notch, and the live music in the evenings added a delightful ambiance to the entire meal. The service was great with frequent but not intrusive follow ups. The manager came to ask is everything was great. A bit pricey but highly recommended!

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and it was amazing. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. The food was delicious as well. Highly suggest the beef tartar. The only downside was where we sat. The table was right by the kitchen entrance. I wish we were a little more out the way especially because it was for a birthday.

my friend ordered spaghetti and the caesar salad. both were delicious. I loved that the noodles were a bit thinner than usual.

I ordered the tuscan fried chicken and the red fish. the fish was delicious and came in a yummy sauce. the chicken bites were tasty.

we both ordered drinks and were pleasantly surprised by both the presentation and the amount of drinks that were poured.

the service was amazing. our waiter was personable and kind.

there was piano music in the background and I loved this detail.

The food was superb! Wine list offers a wide range for every pocketbook! Service was excellent! Not intrusive but a nice balance of attention and privacy. Definitely will return! One star down on atmosphere as we were seated by a pillar which was a bit awkward for me.

the interior is stunning — marmo is classy yet unpretentious. our waitress valerie was so hospitable & immediately made us feel so welcomed. she gave the best wine & dessert rec! (please get the lemon olive oil cake!!)

the bread & butter is incredibly good. the
oysters were very fresh; chicken marsala was SO tender & juicy & the winner for me.

love that they offer half portion sizes to try more dishes!

My favorite of the night was the salad and the squid ink pasta. I didn’t expect the squid ink pasta to be lemony but it was very tasty. I kept on eating even though I was already so full. I have to come back and try out the steak. The table next to me ordered it and it looked so good.

Place is Beautiful, well designed.

Food was delicious and excellent.
We ordered the Roasted Carrot salad and Ink squid pasta. Both are amazing. Please keep up with good work and consistency.

Our waiter was really good, nice and he knew his items really well. Only comment is it took some time to come and greet us.

Atmosphere was super warm, and cozy.

Piano man added a much better ambience. Good job on that.

Restrooms needs more attention.

Valet people were nice and attentive.

Definitely will go back.

Highly recommended.

Highly recommend the happy hour here. Tons of delicious dishes and cocktails at a very reasonable price. My family loved the fried chicken, mushrooms, and oysters. The servers were all super friendly and helpful. The space is well lit and great for a casual but upscale hangout.

This Italian steakhouse has got some unbeatable flair, and I had the best dining experience here recently.

The main act, Jorge R. This man wasn’t just a server, he was a little palette guru. He waltzed in and served us the run down of the menu and possible drink pairings and all his suggestions that were absolutely incredible and the wine pairings made it pure perfection! 🍷🔮

We couldn't resist indulging in the cowboy ribeye, ragu, and squid ink pasta, but honey, that aged beef ribeye was the headliner of the night! The crust was like a diva making her grand entrance, and the meat? It was so tender, almost like a filet, it practically whispered sweet nothings in our mouths. And that dry-aged funk? Ugh like the secret to unleashing a flavor bomb in the steak! 🥩✨

But hold onto your pearls, because the squid ink pasta was the belle of the ball! Creamy white sauce with crab in every bite? Paired it with a kerner white wine that was made it a mind blowing dish. And the bolognese w/ veal ragu is a Classic but so yummy like a

We were so smitten that we did something a little unprecedente– we came back for seconds…..That's right, two nights in a row, and Marmo and Jorge, you've won our hearts. 🙌💖

Marmo is where the flavor party's at, and Jorge R. is a great maestro on this delectable journey. If you haven't tried yet, you're missing out!

Definitely one of my favorite italian restaurants!! I highly recommend for all to sit at the bar. Live piano is amazing and cocktails are the best! Fast service and the bartender is always present for your needs! Visited several times and had great experiences all times!

What a gem this place is. A live pianist, very professional and attentive service, beautiful interior, and wonderful food. It was clear they had paid attention to all the small details. We loved all the appetizers we tried, but the tartare was everyone’s favorite. Pasta sizes are very generous, and everyone was happy with ordering a “Half” instead of the “Full” size. Their cosmos were fantastic, I could’ve had 5 if it wasn’t a Monday evening. Would happily return for another fantastic dinner.
