Lil Sambo's Restaurant

Very friendly employees who welcomed us with a smile. I had the German pancake with the apple cinnamon topping. I ate it plain with powdered sugar and lemon. It was excellent! Only the faintest hint of nutmeg: not overpowering. I also had the regular pancakes. They had a pleasant buttery taste, crispy edges and so fluffy and tender inside. The home made syrup was also tasty. The store had really cute stuff as well. Will be back next time I'm in the area.

This place gets a 5 star, hands down, one of the most unique (And delicious) restaurants that we have ever been too. Pancakes were light, fluffy, and no syrup needed. Though, the syrup is homemade and therefore it makes the pancakes even more tasty. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made us feel right at home. There was enough food to feed an army (or so it felt like). We left satisfied and happy... and now I am the grandest tiger in all of the jungle.

If you enjoy good food with a fun atmosphere and friendly staff this is the place for you!

I noticed some of the reviews weren’t so great but that wasn’t my experience at all.

For me the timing worked perfectly! I was able to order food, check out the fun gift shop/atmosphere and when I was done I had a very short wait for my food and it was delicious!!

I’m a major breakfast fan so I eat that almost everywhere but the bacon here is probably the best I’ve ever had (sorry mom 🤷‍♀)

Well… my ex said he was a cook here in the 70’s. I made the mistake of calling it Lil Black Sambo’s! Hey he is from India?
Awesome omelette and 3 pancakes as a side!! Our server found some chocolate chips to throw on my husbands waffle! Nice and clean here!! WAY TOO GO! Perfect experience!!

Forget the spot up the road! This is the best place in town for breakfast! It wasn't crowded, the employees were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food.....oh my, the food!
They don't mess around! You want a meat lover's omelet? The ham, bacon, and sausage is plump and juicy! You want stuffed French toast? Prepare to get STUFFED!
I could say a bunch more nice things and it still wouldn't be enough!

This is a great place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner but it is one of only few places in Lincoln City that offers a large selection of breakfast dishes. It is great for kids especially with gift shop full of kid stuff. Portion sizes are large here as well so you will get your money's worth.

Our breakfast this morning at Lil Sambo's was AMAZING! I don't think I've ever seen french toast so thick. My eggs Benedict was HUGE, and delicious and the service was wonderful. This is exactly the kind of vacation food we were looking for.

Food is outstanding. Meals are priced well, portions are good. Still low on staff but doing there best..not able to get seats often when I visit but when you can...eat here you will not be disappointed 😉

This is one of those restaurants that’s been around for years and years. Many locals will tell you it’s a Lincoln City staple. I’ve had the pleasure of dining at Lil Sambo’s twice now. The first time I was too young to appreciate it for what it is - I probably got a grilled cheese, haha. This time however I was able to fully enjoy the entire experience from beginning to end!

My husband and I stopped for a quick bite this morning. We were seated right away by a very friendly waitress, who also brought us drinks immediately. We surveyed the menu for some time - it’s huge! There’s so many options and everything sounds delicious. In the end we settled to split a California omlette (avocado, bacon, Swiss and tomato $14.75) with French toast (+ extra $1.00). Sharing was a great idea. The omlette was super thick, fluffy and stuffed with said ingredients. Pair that with the toast and it’s a big meal! There was plenty of flavor. I didn’t even have to add any salt or pepper, just doused it in Tabasco for that kick I’m always craving. The French toast was great as well. They use that good ol’ thick cut Texas toast. Mmmmm. 10/10 all the way for food and service!

I’d also like to express my adoration for the fun decor in the seating area and outside the restaurant building. There’s a small little gift shop inside that’s perfect for people of all ages! Seriously, it’s huge. There’s something for everyone.

I would gladly return to Sambo’s anytime and recommend it to anyone!!!

Always excellent service and fabulous food! The pancakes are amazing-none better anywhere! I had corned beef hash and eggs. There was hash browns onnthe bottom, shredded corned beef over that, and I chose scrambled eggs with cheese. It was amazing! All fresh ingredients!

The best eggs ever. Amazing server Kathy. A bit more expensive than say Dennys or an Elmers but the portion sizes are huge! Would eat here again!

The pancakes were delicious! But beyond that I had some crab cake eggs benedict which may be common breakfast fare for some but i had never even thought of it. It was delicious, and I ate it before I could get a picture but here is the aftermath photo which should tell you all need to know if you are thinking about trying this place.

Friendliest hostess I've ever had! No vegetarian options on burgers but I don't expect that from everywhere. Delicious food, I always love taking people here because of the decor and the story behind it.

We loved this restaurant. It has a great atmosphere that reminded us of a Cracker Barrel restaurant. The food was very tasty and perfect for a big appetite.

Excellent food and service. The pancakes are excellent. There is something in them (vanilla, maybe?) that really makes them extra tasty! Big portions and good ol' home cooking.

Super yummy, great friendly service. And they don't mess around when it comes to the portion sizes.
