Long Lane Furniture

We were starting our new kitchen journey when we came across Long Lane Furniture at the home & outdoor living show at Grand Park in Westfield IN. (They will also be back at Grand Park Feb 7-9 2020). The cabinets they had on display were beautiful, and I thought that they would be really pricey, but we went ahead and got a quote from them. After shopping around, they came in thousands less the box stores like Home Depot, and the cost of our new cabinets was even far less than the cabinet door makerover company by around $4000.00.

The experience has been nothing less than impressive as they walked my wife through what she wanted in the cabinets and focused less about how much she wanted to spend. We have attached photos starting with the pile of wood that would soon be the making of our new cabinets. From the making of the door panels, the frame and the large piece for the center island. I will update this post as the process moves into the install, then the finished project.

Long Lane Furniture and Fairview Woodworking (the owners are brothers and are located 1/4 mile from each other) are our "Goto" when it comes to furniture. We used to live in SW Michigan so it was an easy trip to drive there, pickup some furniture, and head back in the same day. We now live in Georgia but still make the trip north to buy furniture from them. 11 hour drive up, spend the night, pickup the furniture the next morning a dn make the 11 hour drive back home. You will not find better quality and reasonably priced furniture hence the reason we make this pilgrimage for our furniture. Their furniture is made of solid wood, not MDF or plywood. For our new home we had Fairview Woodworking build us a custom gray elm island and stools for our kitchen. We bought a grey elm dining room table and chairs here also. We bought a new dark stained oak bedroom set for our master bedroom from Long Lane. All of our furniture is beautiful and meant to last for years!

We have purchased several times from this family of woodworkers and would highly recommend them for quality hardwood furniture.

We had Long Lane Furniture make custom built cabinets for our kitchen and they turned out fantastic. Everyone that has come to see our new kitchen is blown away by the quality and attention to detail. Everything they make is hand made in quality Amish fashion. Their prices are very good for furniture of this quality. Everyone there is extremely pleasant. This place is a true hidden jewel.

Long Lane custom built our bedroom set. They happily modified the armoire from their standard plan to meet my specifications. The whole set is just gorgeous. The quality is impeccable and the price was very reasonable. We've actually been using it for a few years now, and it's still just like new. I recommend them without any hesitation.

We just bought a custom bedroom set from here...it turned out AMAZING. The people there are very easy to work with, and they even took some OFF the price for using less wood for one of the items we wanted altered a bit. We are very happy with the quality, and it was thousands cheaper than the Amish-made furniture store stuff. They only sell what they make, so it is very reasonable priced (no overhead costs!).

Everything is real wood, and you choose the wood you would like it made with, as well as the stain/finish color and the hardware. They have several different designs for bedroom sets, kitchens, and offices, and the "brother shop" on the same lane (Irvin's Millwork) has lots of nice quality dining sets, benches, tables, and china cabinets. This place, off the beaten path, is truly worth checking into if you are looking for quality real wood furniture at an unbeatable price!

BEAUTIFUL hardwood furniture designed and made by Amish family on their farm....we wanted our king size bedroom suite made of gray elm styled like one of their bedroom designs....was accommodating and 8 weeks later...picked up an awesome bedroom suite that was a couple thousands of dollars cheaper than downtown Shipshewana and the same quality. Highly recommend....why not cut out the middleman and support this Amish family.

Purched our Beautiful bedroom set custom from Long Lane after visiting 20+ other businesses. The Amish carpenters are incredibly talented and created our set from photos and our specs. The quality is perfection and the price is the lowest around.

They made a quality table and chairs for us and the price was very good!
Love to look around at their stuff, albeit a little dusty. It's not your normal showroom which is nice if that's what keeps prices down! You can look at their catalogue. They will make to your order. Good Amish people.
