Never been there but have a friend who lives close and it's seems peaceful and haven't heard anything " bad" from him or elsewhere. Looks like it is serving it's purpose well. Need more places like that to accommodate the other unfortunate people in town. Still a lot of people in need.

Took them bulk food that was given to me that one person couldn't eat before in expiration. They're so grateful! Makes both them & me fell better

My stove blew up and my landlord hasn't fixed it yet. So I've been taking my evening meal here. I'm so blessed that they are here. Meals are good and nutritional. And the people there are courteous and very helpful.

For the person that gives it 1 star. You can go hungry and not eat at all... Do you not think you should have to work for your food? Or do you think you're entitled to free food? The rest of the world works for their food and there are other shelters for women and children. They probably separate them for a reason. It amazes me how ungrateful some people can be. I've volunteered to help here for school in my free time and I think they have a good thing going here

I was there in 2000. Dr. Fagg and the Dr. Tim were the directors of the place. Great spiritual experience and it made me a stronger and better person!!!

The best thing that has ever happened to me was staying at The Light House Mission. They really care about people! The staff is beyond amazing...... Thank you for helping me.

There is a one star review and that person has made an error. Yes this is a male only shelter, but there is a shelter for women and children that is run by The Lighthouse Mission. The women's shelter is Ladies Conner Center, 324 Sixth St.
