Friendly, trustworthy, and knowledgeable mechanic. My car was overheating, I knew it was the water pump and I already had the parts to change it, I just needed a mechanic. Hammer’s Garage got me in to diagnose right away. The belt I brought in didn’t fit but he was able to find the correct size and still get my car in and out in the same day. Great communication, fair prices, and thorough work. Very impressed with this service. 10/10 highly recommend.

Best Auto & Small Truck Service in Marshall County, Culver, Indiana. They care about you. Pricing is incredibly reasonable. They service current and classic cars, lawn mowers, golf carts, trucks and trailers. They know what they are doing and have dealt with many challenging issues effectively. The owner Ron is a likeable gentle giant.

They got us in and diagnosed the issues with the car. One of the issues is probably going to be covered by the orginal shop that did the work under their warranty. We will return tho to have them complete some other work..
They were so friendly and knowledgeable.

Unfortunately, I cannot use Hammers and feel obligated to share to the public why. I called and set up for him to look at my car, find out the issue and quote me to fix it. He charged decently and had the car all day, he told me he would call me. He didn't call me until 5 pm (I dropped the car at 8am) after a scheduled appointment had to be rescheduled becauze I had no vehicle and he was told this.

I went and got it, he handed me the key and offered no information so I asked what was found. He told me and I asked him how much it would cost to fix. He said, and I quote, "Oh I dunno." That's what I came to find out...so I asked him to find out. He said call me next week, I did. Then he said "I don't know, can't recall the car or the issue. I've had 50 cars since then, if you bring it back I can look at it again." MY issue is he doesn't file clients, their vehicles and findings so questions can be answered and we have file on the vehicle to know what was done or found. It was real unprofessional, I wasted money getting it looked at and now have to pay more to get an answer. So he pocketed my money, no skin off his nose. Really dissapointed.

I couldn't give zero stars like I wanted to and I normally don't do this because everyone else at this place is very respectful except one employee Dennis is very rude and disrespectful and gives the business a bad name
