Prairie Edge Nature Park

This is a gorgeous little park, with a lot of native prairie plants, a small lake, and mature oak trees.
There is also a covered gazebo with benches built along the inside railings, many well-placed benches and some picnic tables along the gravel walking trails, and a primitive bathroom near the parking lot.
When we were there in late September, there were still a few prairie plants in bloom and some turtles basking in the sunshine on logs in the pond.
We visited again on a cold, windy Saturday in November and it was a very different experience, but just as gorgeous.

Great place to take an easy walk around the lake.

The trail around the lake is beautiful with lots of benches to sit down and that in the views, wildflowers and some wildlife.The summer wildflowers explode with earth tones making for amazing pictures.The early morning walk around the lake had fog adding another of colors to my walk.There is a pit toilet, picnic tables, shelter house gazebo a small fishing pier

A few years back I went with my class and planted some of the tall grass there, and I went back to go for a stroll today and saw it all grown. It was so nice to be in the nature and see what my class created. It's a great workout and I'm glad there's a sign with the routes and their lengths.

Very nice park, bass fishing was fun, just reiease them please.

Very pretty, clean, well kept park. Beautiful flowers bring in butterflies. There is a nice pavilion right off of the parking area.

Great place to walk. Can take ypur dog. It also has a fishing pier for catch and release of bass. Handicap accessible.

Beautiful place where it's not hard to forget all ur problems and relax for a few. Fishing is welcome there which is a bonus.

Pleasant place for a walk or picnic.
