The Square

Valentine's dinner was fabulous. We enjoyed the scallops & candied roses for appetizers, both were delicious. Lobster linguine and chicken in cream sauce for our main courses. Also delicious. Dessert was a warm heart shaped brownie with vanilla ice cream, chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. A fabulous Valentine's menu. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Wowee! Good food and HUGE salads and portions! Fantastic garden bar with lots of ingredients. Shrimp was great and so are the homemade chips. Appetizers, multiple salads besides the garden bar, Seafood, Chicken, Ribs, Steaks (different cuts), burgers, sandwiches, desserts! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Very impressed!

We had a party of 20 people and the waitress was excellent, the atmosphere lively and not one complaint about the food we ordered. Just wish I could give them 10 stars plus 2 thumbs up.

Best service I have had in years. Between the waitress and the bartender everything was just about perfect. The salad bar was amazing and delicious. The food was good too! But I can’t say enough about the service! U can’t get good service anymore!

This modern style diner is absolutely amazing. This was my first visit of many to come (2/22/20). Perfectly seasoned Tuna Steak and Shrimp Skewer with crispy waffle fries and tender Asparagus, finished with lemon raspberry cheesecake and impeccable service from Natasha. I highly recommend trying this small town diner!

From the moment I walked in and saw the modern decor I felt relaxed and at ease. A pleasant greeting from Natasha was a great start to a memorable experience. The menu was surprisingly diverse with a sampling of everything from classic diner fare to lighter choices such as tuna steak and shrimp skewers. The salad bar looked appetizing and did not disappoint according to my girlfriend. The waffle fries were the perfect blend of crispy exterior and fluffy center, the asparagus was tender all the way through and seasoned perfectly. The lemon raspberry cheesecake was a great end to a wonderful meal. I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Went to first Friday for the 2nd time this year. The atmosphere was great with a good turn out of people even with it raining the 2nd time. Always a good selection of food trucks and local breweries. So even something for the adults. Plus all the business have this doors open. Good time.

We met some friends here for dinner. The food was yummy and the prices were not bad at all. The waitress did a wonderful job of checking in on us. For a casual lunch or dinner, I would definitely recommend 👍

We had lunch at The Square, in full view of the beautiful county courthouse building in Columbia City.
We each had hamburgers and I tried the homemade chips which were delicious. For only ten dollars each we had two of the best hamburgers we've had in a long time.
Looking over the drink menu the prices were exceptionally low considering the variety of the offerings.
We would happily eat here again and highly recommend it to others.

This is a great restaurant because the employees are very friendly and helpful. In addition, the food is delicious! Highly recommended to anyone nearby.

Server was on point quick and absolutely amazing she didn't rush us out the door and the food was amazing. Even would venture to say" one of the best restaurants I've ever been to

It was very nice, all of the wait staff were very helpful and very nice. We were greeted and taken to our table. They also thanked us for coming.

We spent the night in Columbia City. We did not want a chain restaurant meal. The Square was a great option. Nice selection on the menu. Prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly. The other customers were familiar with the place and brought a hometown atmosphere to dinner. The only problem we had was finding it. The sign was obscured by a tree. It is located downtown next to the Elks. Parking is street parking, but there were plenty of places to park. All in all, a good meal and happy experience.

First time visit. Ordered the Hawaiian Chicken with a baked sweet potato and vegetable of the day, broccoli. Very busy with constant flow of guests. I did not have to wait for a table. Reasonable prices with nice sized portions. Restaurant was clean, air could have been warmer, and friendly service.

Very nice place, not overly priced and you get a decent portion for your money. There are 6 taps, and a bottled selection as well. Comfortable atmosphere, good/fast service try it out!

Great place to have a drink and if your hungry great foods available.
