Pickles Cafe

Super cute cafe with some unique and traditional options for entrees, sides, and drinks! They didn't skimp on the sausage for the biscuits and gravy, the 1/2 order was really good and super filling. Good service and decent prices too! Just an FYI, we were looking for an older single building as shown in the of the photos, this cafe was actually in one of the buildings on the courthouse square!

I’ve always loved the eclectic vibe of the restaurant, it’s quirky and cute and unique. I love how every dish is a presentation in itself, out of the norm and delicious. The staff is always Friendly and efficient. And I love that it’s a small, hometown business, not a boring, average chain restaurant. If I still lived in Columbia City, I would be there weekly, if not more.🥰

I updated my review after the owner responded to my review. The fact that the owner was able to take time out to review her business from a customers perspective speaks professionalism and respect. I appreciate your follow-up and I will be back with my food criticism as I do every place I go.

Trying something new today on my daycation ... Homemade Lasagna, Roasted Califlower Soup, Veggie Quiche, and Rhubard Bread Pudding. This restaurant was absolutely the best food I've had in a long time and I dine out a lot. Homemade daily, healthy choices, and friendly atmosphere all around. Will definitely return to try more options on thier amazing menu.

High quality food. A real cook works here! Delicious comfort food with twists that do not stray too far. Just wonderful with professional and down to earth service.

I had the Queso Bacon Gritz and French Toast. Bring a friend who is a conversationalist, this food is so delicious and rich, you are going to want to eat it slow and savor it.

I ordered a loaf of banana bread to go, the waitress thought it was too dry, so she brought a sample for me to try. It has great flavor, but she was right, too dry. Which I see as a testament to both their concern for quality AND empowering their employee to make judgement calls.

My sister and I have eaten there a couple of times and can't wait to go back. The restaurant has a very relaxing atmosphere, the service was great and the food was excellent. If your in Columbia City you have to check them out. They are open for breakfast and close at 2:00.

Fantastic little cafe. My family and friends from out of town love it when I take them to Pickles. I don’t think you will be disappointed giving them a try!

Drove by and had to stop. Such a nostalgic place and the food was delicious. 10 dollars for my plate, food is fresh and home made. Staff and other patrons who were regulars we're very kind and welcoming. 🤗

Food was amazing. The salmon Cobb salad was the best salad I've ever had! Wait staff could be friendlier and more timely with menus, but the food still lands them a 5 out of 5 stars (it's that good) 🥳

First time eating here and we will definitely return. The breakfast was great and filling. The aroma coming from the kitchen made my mouth water. I got some jalapeño sausage broccoli soup to go and can’t wait to try it…when my belly isn’t so stuffed.

Cute, unique little place with great quality food! My Fort Wayne neighbor was kind enough to show me this little place in Columbia City. I'm sure glad she did; good service and a lot of prideful attention went into their food. They have a pick 3 lunch special that looked really good with some unique offerings, like "raspberry meatloaf." I went with an egg salad sandwich off the printed menu, and it was one of the best egg salad sandwiches I ever had. Nice bits of onion and a mix of other little tidbits to make it very flavorful on a nice bread. We also got a couple of desserts, and their pies, cakes, and other things are an awesome treat. This is a hidden little gem I highly recommend.

Awesome local place for lunch Reuben sandwich and beer cheese soup served hot and delicious . Our service on this visit was very good .

Very sweet and friendly service every time! Food is outstanding and plenty for lunch. We especially love the plum tea and the soups.

The atmosphere is cozy and unique. Look for a pickle everywhere.

Great little place. Food was good and reasonably priced. Many options and everything on the menu sounded great. Wife and I had lunch there we both enjoyed it thoroughly. Service a bit slow but they were pretty busy. Sitting outside was also a plus.

Went for lunch. Waitress was great. I got this steak tip sandwich and it was delicious. I'm kinda craving another one right now. If you want a soda they don't do the traditional dispenser, your buying a bottle. I really have no complaints. Good food good price

A favorite place to go, always a clever menu with something unique to choose from. Wonderful desert selections, friendly servers and a cozy dining atmosphere. My kids are picky at times but Pickles always has something new that interests us or a standard menu item we enjoy. The food and friendly staff make dining at Pickles so enjoyable that we drive 20 minutes to the Columbia City location and consider each dining experience a delightful treat!

Excellent service and delicious food! A fun treasure trove to the eyes with so many fun pictures and memories on the walls as well as random decor for furniture.
