Great hostel in a great location but what makes it truly exceptional is Ivan. We’ve travelled quite a lot and not sure have met a better tour operator and ambassador. Rolls Royce level service with matatu level value.

Very reasonable place to stay and one of the best tour operator I met through my trip in Uganda. He gonna take care of you and he can also sort out the Gorilla trek for you. Try the fish curry in the restaurant. Highly recommend!

The best thing about our stay at Motel Santaviva was the incredible kindness and helpfulness of Ivan, the manager. Before the stay he answered to all possible questions and arranged the transport for us, staying tuned and managing every misunderstanding. Even weeks later we contacted him for some advice and he made phone calls and helped everything he could. Truly the most caring and genuinely friendly hotel manager we met in Uganda. If I ever come back to Kisoro I wouldn’t miss the chance of greeting him again.

Motel santavia is the best place to stay in Kisoro Town. They have nice accommodation facilities, the resturant meals are delicious and overall their service is wonderful. The place is well located for numerous tourism activities such as Gorilla Tracking, Hiking, Cycling and Lake Tours as well as being in close proximity to town services like banks, supermarkets and night hangout spots. Many thanks to Ivan and the entire team for having made my stay a memorable one.

The place has a good location, good rooms and definetly the best service around. Ivan and Jordan were extremely kind and made our stay comfortble. We slept here and went for hiking the next day, Ivan called the boda guys for us and arranged everything so we had no worries. He also helped us to get to and from Kisoro by public means. If you are looking for and affordable stay with good food and kind service, this is your call.
The only thing bothering us was the loud music in the night but I would choose this stay again.

It's my first visiting Kisoro.The location is great, the place is beautiful. The rooms are cozy and spacious, the staff are so friendly and the Host is the friendliest and willing to show you around. The food in the restaurant is tasty and great. I visited with my Boyfriend & we enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this place. Best staff, friendly, helpful and funny. The food is incredible. We recommend Beef Rolex, Beans with food, Talapia with Pasta, Samosa with beef. That's what we tasted and it was all just tasty. Only grain of salt is the coffee which is instant coffee like in all hotels we've seen in Kenya & Uganda. But for the rest there is no doubt you should go here if you visit Kisoro, climb the volcano or heading to the Gorilla's. You will be helped with everything you need.

We slept here while we were on a business trip with my fiance but it is an amazing place,it is in town and there services are top notch.

The best place to stay in Kisoro. Ivan is a fantastic host and cares a lot about his guests. Location is central, rooms are clean and there is a cozy lounge too.

Just a great place! Ivan the owner and James will help you with everything you need, they are super nice. Rooms are spacious, beds are good and warm for the cold nights and you get hot water, reliable wifi and a good lounge. Food is great as well. The hotel is super central and very easy to locate. I'll come back!

Ivan is a great host, helpfull, friendly and accommodating. The hotel is centrally located, has a nice living room, good restaurant and rooms are basic but have all you need.

For some delicious meals around kisoro town, this is the place.
