Absolutely perfect hotel. I could not believe it but I saw Angelina Jolie staying here!!!
Amazing eco resort that has the best sunset views on the lake. Great private cabins, including 2 honeymoon ones right on the lake. Good food, super helpful staff (they even brought me a hot water bottle when I caught a cold) and quiet... Only the sounds of the lake. Amazing.

Awesome resort on the lake! We really enjoyed our stay. Amazing views from the room, wonderful swimming dock, plus it’s really the perfect place watch the sunset. The lake itself is beautiful, would recommend taking a walk along the small paths around the lake (doable by yourself without a guide). Just know that it seems to be a bit more on the expensive side for the lake.

Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort is an eco friendly resort situated on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi in southwestern Uganda close to Bwindi and Volcanoes National Park, the only mountain gorillas habitat. The resort offers comfortable lodging, local and international dishes, a variety of activities can be done from here, well stocked bar lounge and restaurant right on the lake shores with beautiful views. Lake Bunyonyi is popular for its green and lush terraced hills that are punctuated with a plethora of over 200 bird species. The place combines the art of water birds and some migratory birds. This makes it a perfect ideal for many bird enthusiasts. A dive into the Nyombi swamp reveals a variety of assorted birds.

Very beautiful hotel next to the lake. The rooms all face the lake and have lake sunset views, which are gorgeous. Room has a lot of light.
Very slow check in with unnecessary briefing. Just wanted to go to the room but they kept me waiting. Nights maybe a little cold and no blankets are offered.

Located right on the water and has great views from all around. Very welcoming staff and good food. The shop inside the main area has a nice selection of local art and crafts. The room was spacious and had a nice porch. There’s a nice dock connected to the hotel to either relax or swim from.

Such an awesome experience at this hotel. The rooms are so well kept and high quality, the staff is beyond helpful and all go out of their way to make your stay as great as possible. Located right on the water with access to swim and docks for boats.

Beautiful layout and location. Rooms are clean and open with large windows and amazing view. Staff was so welcoming and caring to us. Service is excellent. We arrived by boat in pouring rain and staff greeted us with umbrellas, towels and prepared a chiminea for us at dinner. Dinner and bar have good selection.

Reception and restaurant just at the water edge, very nice welcoming and excellent staff.

The room had a large panoramic window and was beautifully decorated. Nothing fancy, but with lots of attention to detail. The balcony in front of nice just the right place to wind down

Staff is incredibly friendly, and the food is relatively good. Make sure you try the juices, which are made from freshly pressed fruit.

The rooms are nice and spacious, and they all share the same fantastic view of the lake. In the late afternoon, you can sit by the lake and watch the kingfishers dive for fish

This hotel is located on the quiet shores of Lake Buyonyi, surrounded by mountains and fields. The sunset was one of the most beautiful I have seen in Uganda so far, same goes for the morning mist over the lake. We even spotted a beaver in the waters. The hotel offers several decks for relaxing in the sun or tacking a dip in the lake. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Unfortunately we only got a room in the new side house, which turned out to be really cold at night. All ammenities were clean though. For our next stay, we would choose the rooms with a view over the lake. The food was good, the dining hall beautifully decorated with wooden furniture and a view over the lake. Come prepared though, the lake lies high up in the mountains and it gets quite cold at night.

An incredible paradise in the remotest part of Lake Bunyonyi. I have to visit every year or as often as possible. I have only seen such big beds in the Kings Palace. Great staff and a wonderful host. Thanks Robert Basiima for having us always!

The resort is located at the shores of the beautiful lake. Located a bit far from the village, this is a beautiful hideaway and a perfect stop for your trip in Uganda. If you stay here, you will have guaranteed nice views of the lake and the area, really tasty food, a good night sleep and an overall relaxing stay. It's one of the most beautiful places I stayed at while travelling in Uganda and made a perfect pit stop for me. The sun deck and various activites offered makes sure you are occupied. The rooms are lovely with a beautiful interior.

Only had a chance to get a quick lunch: the crayfish masala was excellent -- slightly spicy (and I love it that way), but in any case, absolutely delicious with rice. The location is great, in fact, do try to take a walk around the hill. The design and layout of the resort is well thought through and the manager will have a great, informed chat with you if you get a chance.

A last shangri la for those who seek solace and tranquility. Almost like a dream place.. Best location on banks of Lake Bunyonyi with a bay exclusive to the resort.
Best views in the area. Good food and very hospitable staff. Resort offers complimentary kayaking with brand new equipment and well trained staff. Fishing from their jetty was a bonus with little tilapias to catch. The resort organises trips to islands and lake excursion at very nominal prices while a dedicated guide keeps giving interesting information.
We travelled with small kids and found the place very accomodating for food etc.
Dining area overlooks the lake and a breakfast under the sun is not to be missed.
Rooms arevery clean, spacious with good washrooms, crisp white linen and full view of lake.
The resort will soon open water villas, another unique feature.
Overall a great place to stay and value for money.
