Absolute heaven on earth for people looking for authentic and organic foods. The market is huge, crowded and hard to maneuver before you get accustomed. It is part of the charm. Here you will find all fruits, vegetables, berries, meets, fish, milk products etc that Ukraine has to offer. They also have product from neighboring countries like Georgia, Moldova and Turkey.

An absolutely must see and must be in Odessa. This place is full of people - locals and tourists (you can chat with locals, since they are talkative). You can buy here absolutely everything - exotic fruit, spices, seafood, as well as local ones- fresh watermelons, grapes, tomatoes.

What is not nice about this place is the smell in the place where meat is.
And the worst thing is the fact that majority of stalls closes around 5PM, and there's information that it's working till 7PM.

When I stumbled unexpectedly the first time I flipped a lid. This place is brimming with life, spices and buildings separate to each other for different markets.There is a building for dried meats,one for seafood with fish jumping waiting to be purchased, it's endless and you need a full day to just walk and look before you would even consider buying anything it's that overwhelming. I since found out that this market is famous throughout the whole Soviet Union.It is an absolute must.!!!

they are very organized and have separate areas for different type of products; beef, pork, lamb, chicken, dairy, cured goods, honey.

I was able to get some fresh from the cow milk here for 50 cents a liter, it was great.

Great place! One of the main city attractions! The market-legend, the real history of Odesa. Being in Odesa we always visit it to buy some fish or seafood. As well there are vegetables, fruits, berries, herbs and different stuff - Pryvoz is large. Do not miss a chance to visit it, to go through fish rows to see different fish and to see and talk to local women selling it, this is the must, so authentic!
But do not mix new Pryvoz with the old Pryvoz - located at the same place they are very different. The monument to Auntie Sonya is located at new Pryvoz (see photo for monument, the entrance is under blue letters), this one is not so authentic and rather standard. You should find the old Pryvoz (see on photo - the entrance is under the white arche with black leters) - ask somebody there for the way.
!!!And be careful - keep eyes at your pockets and bags, there are a lot, really a lot of pickpockets, as at every market.

Anything you need, you can find at this market for an affordable price. It's a confluence between different coulinaire cultures. From fresh first to brand new clothes, from different meat types to all types of cheeses.

Great functional market! We bought lots of freshly made Ukrainian specialties. The fish market was the most impressive with sturgeon and other sea food. Highly recommend a visit.

Surprisingly the place I've enjoyed the most out of all Odessa's attraction, A must for real market lovers. Extremely cheap prices, interesting local ingredients and a variety of everything a market should have.

Privoz market is the best place to purchase goods and fresh vegetables. Cheap price and clean environment.

Huge outside and inside market. You can buy anything and everything here. Spent hours here. Bought a towel, mobile phone charger, belt, flip flops, pomegranate juice, water. Sunglasses and reading glasses and electric cable extension. Kept on coming back just to see everything. Friendly people, very interested in where I was from

If you come to Odesa you have to visit the market, it's huge. It's also dirty and stinky in some parts, and you have to be careful about what you buy --among the locals the reputation is that the scales are all off, so you get less than you pay for, but caveat emptor-- but overall it's a unique and exciting place.

This is a market with tastiest food in the world. Also, you can buy there any stuff for affordable price.

I mean, it just a market what's to get excited about? Well to be everything! It's huge, has everything I grazed to sausage area as as soon as I got close and said что это? They would cut me some. It worked as best I have ever tasted and bought loads!
Also fish, clothes, veg, cheese, electrics.
