The first room we stayed in (called New York) had a really unpleasant smell of mould. Later we find out that the pillows are covered in mould, and also the mattress. The bed linen had stains and hair upon arrival. We complained to the staff, only to wait almost an hour without hearing anything. Then we went to the reception again to ask wether anything was happening. Then we had to explain ourselves again to another person from the staff. They did not seem to understand the problem. After another hour and several explanations, we just got two new pillows. We wanted a new room, since sleeping in a moldy bed and room is not only disgusting but also a health risk. We could not get a new room before the next day. Next day it was only when we really made it clear that we wanted a new room that we could change. We then get the room called Dubai, which we had to wait almost an hour to get due to cleaning. However, this room had visible mould on the walls. When we complained the staff did not respond in a respectful way, they just seemed really rude and annoyed. Not a way to treat costumers. Also no mosquito nets in the rooms. Last day we asked for a compensation for all the trouble, but the two girls in the reception did not want to help us even contact the owner of the place and also had a really rude attitude, almost laughing at our request. Every time we needed to talk to a person that could help with the refund/compensation, the person we had to talk to was “off work” or “maybe he come tomorrow”. The breakfast was okay but the coffee tasted of dust. I would advise people to stay away from this place.

Not a good experience to stay at Kendwa guest house. I stayed there with my friend and when we arrived and got our room we thought that the room smelled like mould and we realized that the pillow where black from mould which we thought was really disgusting. Also the bed sheets where dirty. We asked for a new room but they could only give us a new one in the morning so we had to sleep in the room. It was late and we waited for more than an hour for them to find new pillows etc. for us. The new room we got in the morning was better but also smelly. When we asked for a some money back to compensate for the one night in the gross and unhealthy room and for all the time spent waiting for them to help they just said that they couldn’t do it. In general not a very service minded or nice staff in the reception. Would not recommend staying there!
