Seconda Stella

Amazing hotel! Although there are small issues with water and electricity (in general on the island) Nikolas and his wife are very hospitable and help you with everything! due to issues with our bathroom, we were upgraded in a bigger room and the Chef was waiting for us in the restaurant until the last minute. I have no words for their hospitality ! All staff is very kind , too ! If you are looking for a little paradise this is the place! I highly recommend it!

As a traveler who's explored many corners of the world, I can confidently say that Seconda Stella was a truly exceptional experience. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They genuinely cared about our well-being and were always happy to answer questions and offer recommendations. Speaking of recommendations, the chef's fresh seafood dishes were divine! My personal favorite was the grilled octopus with carrot puree.

Now, about those previous reviews mentioning the rooms. We found them to be exactly as advertised - charming and rustic. (The hotel got fully renovated a few months ago) It's true, there may be occasional power cuts, but that's part of the island's charme and adds to the authentic experience and will be fixed soon, rather then being on your phone just go outside and engage with the people around you, even with power cuts they made best of it (lighting candles for example). This place is perfect for laid-back couples, families or friends seeking a unique and unforgettable Zanzibar adventure.

The location is also nice it is very close to the beach (10 mintues walk) and you are very close to all the attractions in the southern part of the island (20-30 minutes for dolphin snorkeling, turtles, boat tours and famous beach mtende). We will come back for sure!! Thanks to all the staff and of course the lovely Manager!

Very nice hotel, great food.

Wonderful Italian restaurant with proper Italian food, Italian music and Italian speaking local servers. It’s pretty busy at night time. I suggest to make a reservation beforehand. The food is absolutely delicious. I recommend their pizzas! They’re offering accommodations with a terrace, an outdoor pool and free WiFi which works very well!

Not to mention the food - I think it was the best in the whole Zanzibar.

Peaceful place, there is a bit of the walk ( 5 minutes ) to the beach through the village.

Good restaurant just by the main road. Nice atmosphere on the terrace. Helpful and hospitable staff, food is fresh and tasty, prices are convenient.

This place is not by the beach front. But their competitive advantage is the food and a really huge swimming pool. Breakfast is amazing. The rates are pocket friendly

We had a lovely dinner, great food and nice staff. They even had a child chair to our 1 yr old baby girl (my granddaughter...)
