We enjoyed luch here on two separate occasions during our stay in Jambiani. The food is super good, the place is clean and we really enjoy supporting local businesses.

This place is a hidden gem if ever you could find one. I don’t know how frequently the staff change there (I wouldn’t think much at all) but the two chefs they have on that I’ve had the pleasure of trying have been unbelievable. Not only is it wonderful to experience such quality culinary creations in a humble setting, these guys go out of their way to share their gifts and humour and wonderful blends of the freshest fruit juices from right there on the island. You seriously could never regret a visit.

Great food, freshly prepared with a local taste - we went for the chicken. Takes a bit of time as freshly cooked, may be worth placing an order a while before - we ended up packing the food and eating back at the hotel because of a cranky baby! Would have loved to eat at the restaurant with the traditional setting. Very well priced and friendly staff. Would love to try other stuff off the menu next time!

Small family run restaurant with the most delicious local cuisine from Zanzibar. The place offers wide variety of sea food and typical for the regions stews, fresh juice and smoothies and soups. The Banana soup is a must! All good is fresh, homemade and fairly priced. A hidden gem definitely worth the visit.

Very nice atmosphere restaurant in the local village you are in their garden and you feel at their home, kids passing and smiling.. the food is delicious you should definitely try the coconut crusty fish with banana, just be aware that the food takes a while to be prepared but it’s worthy the wait! Recommend! A real local and tasteful experience in Zanzibar

Ordered banana soup for starters, was great! Seasoned with spices and chunks of sweet banana, it was a hearty meal.
I also tried grilled lemon and garlic fish (comes with rice and veg tomato stew) which was amazingly fresh and was complimented well by the lemon juice.
Total bill was 22000tzs (~$9)
Great portion sizes, great prices and friendly customer service.

From the moment we came in we felt very welcome and greeted with plenty of smiles :-) We had a lovely veggie curry and some veggie samosas (huuuge portions)with a few beers. All of the food was truly tasty and our visit overall very enjoyable. The prices are also very reasonable and exceptional price for value. Very much recommended everyone coming to this little secluded place and support these guys.

Excellent coconut crusted fish with banana chutney (with cinnamon)! Crispy outside, tender inside, tasty chutney. Portion a bit small though.

Very tasty local cuisine, reasonable price for (big) portions.
Fish soup is absolutely incredible (had it several times there). Also had chicken curry and Znzibar tea (tastes like ginger) :) Easy to find from the beach as well.

Delicious meals and delicious fresh fruit juice that was prepared upon our arrival. The wait time is worth it, and the prices are more than reasonable. We arrived around 7pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant until we left at 8:30pm.

Great food, relaxed atmosphere, hardworking friendly people :) We decided to try the banana soup and were not disappointed. The seafood is also spot on - fresh and homemade, which is what we were looking for. The prices are also very fair. Overall one of the best (if not the best) restaurant in Jambiani. We will be coming back.

The fact that tourism benefits to local community is a really important point for me when I travel. It's a small local place but don't worry you will eat very well for cheap and you won't be sick !! The staff was so lovely, he even offered delicious mango as desserts for all of us. Go to Faraja restaurant you won't be disappointed. Asante sana !!

Wow try the banana soup! It’s amazing. We waited a bit for food and the tables are very modest. The food was super delicious and we really enjoyed the low-key atmosphere. It was worth the wait!

This is the best restaurant in Jambiani, the owner/chef (Suley) and ALL its friends are really cool people. I stayed for a month and visited this place everyday, this guy well deserved my tips.

The food is tasty, huge portions at local prices and great variety: from seafood to chicken and european stuff like pasta.

If he don't have seafood or chicken, just ask him and he will tell his friend to bring it for you in a few hours.

Maybe you need to wait 30 minutes because he cooks everything from scratch, even juice is made from fresh fruit!! But he'll give you snacks for free (amazing corn chips) before the food is ready.

About the vibe, it's amazing because of the lighting (at night), the comfy chairs and the sand on the floor. Plus I loved they always play some deep-house, lowfi-hiphop and reggae tunes on the radio.

Long story short, if you are looking for a local restaurant run by young people for young people, you won't be disappointed. Give him a try!

Nice small place with very friendly owner. The waiting was bit longer as usual in Zanzibar but definitely worth it. Delicious local food and huuge portions at very reasonable price.

Very local, only a few tables among houses in the village. The food is really great and you feel like a guest at their home. Good prices.
