We showed up late but that didn’t stop the waiters for a second, they came with a smile and were super helpful so we could order before the kitchen closed.
The food was amazing even if we had to wait a bit (which is typical in Zanzi). Don’t miss it if you are in the area!

This small charming restaurant serves a moderate menu, but extremely well executed.

I had the pepper steak (medium rare per their recommendation) and it's the best beef I've enjoyed since arriving in Tanzania. My wife had the maharage which was similarly incredible.

Pricing is also extremely reasonable. We're excited to return.

Just returned from this excellent Jambiani restaurant. At noon it was not crowded at all, so our order was ready in 15 min. Great taste (fish and calamari), with flavour and spices. Very affordable prices, as well. This place is calling us back, for sure.

We had the aubergine curry with chapati and it was so delicious!
The staff was very friendly and nice and we’d come back again for sure!

We didn’t expect much, but the food was extremely tasteful! We had fish in butter sauce, which the kids loved, fish with cheese and spinach sause, which was recommended by the waiter and really delicious! Also we had prawns in curry, and the chicken kuku which both were nice flavored with a great taste! The portions were pretty big and well priced, approx. 20k Tsh per dish. Everything was just good, and we were both full and happy leaving the place! 5 stars from here especially comparing to the average level in Zanzibar!

This restaurant is really difficult to find, but if you are travelling with Google maps you will find the way easily. My favourite dish was octopus and calamari- if you have the chance please try it! From the restaurant there’s no straight view on the ocean.

We were very happy with our meal. Great location and atmosphere. Good prices. Some very cute cats just outside. Save a couple of scraps for them!

Best arrabiata I think I've ever had and comes with parmesan! The aubergine and potato and pea curries are also DELICIOUS. Everything is cooked to perfection- and so reasonably priced- you can tell the chef really loves what he does!

Great local restaurant away from the beach and the crowds. The menu is a bit more refined than some of the other local eateries we tried out while still being more affordable than the resort restaurants along the beachfront. We definitely enjoyed the fish dishes more than the meat ones and the vegetarian one wasn't too shabby either. Would highly recommend for people looking for something different and more authentic.

We ate there two times already. The food is delicious, the fish and seafood are cooked perfectly and the butter sauce is amazing.
The staff is friendly and really professional, we’ve never been served that quickly during our three months in Tanzania!

We have been there twice during our stay in Jambiani. The staff was very nice and the quality of the food was also very good.
The portions are big and the pricing therefore very reasonable and common among local restaurants.
