Jambiani Whitesands Bungalos is the best place to spend your vacation in. I personally had a very great experience with everything in the hotel including service, staff members, breakfast buffet, rooms, and the location of the place.

Their rooms are very nicely built with a zanzibarian touch and you can see the light blue beach from the hotel as it is 3 minutes away. The staff is very friendly and helpful in terms of arranging transportation or activities. They have a variety of choices when the sun rises and it’s time for breakfast (pancakes, croissants, potato chips, chicken mix, vegetable mix, salads, and different warm drinks). The fruit juices on their menu are fresh and they serve their guests a glass of fresh fruit juice as soon as they arrive.

Overall, this hotel has never failed to impress me and I can just suggest to spend your vacation in this hotel because I couldn’t see a single thing they were missing.

The rooms exude beauty, the owners radiate kindness, actively contributing to the local community, evident in the hotel and its surroundings. The beach is breathtaking, providing the perfect backdrop for relaxation with a drink. My stay was truly fantastic, with the added allure of being close to Paje and its outstanding dining and entertainment options. Organizing a taxi from the hotel is easy, and the WiFi is reliable. Picking this hotel for my stay in Zanzibar with my friend was one of the best decisions I made coming here!

As soon as we arrived we were taken with the greatest hospitality by all the staff members. We have had great conversations with the owners and it is clear they have a great heart for both Zanzibar and the people of Zanzibar including both the locals and tourists. We were served amazing fruits and foods. The rooms were very comfortable with an adjustable ac and effective mosquito nets. The rooms were also very well taken care of so there were little to no bugs. The location is just perfect, right by the beach in Jambiani and with a taksi or other transport you can get to wherever you want on the island from there. If there are any special enquiries the staff is happy to help you through with it and give you the best advice as friends.

Very nice basic accomodation with very friendly and helpfull owners. Beds a bit hard, but after some days I got used to it and liked them. The beach infront of the house is beautiful. The restaurant is also very good and nice. I would come again, if Zanzibar is my destination again. :)

I’ve stayed here for almost 3 weeks both in the rooms and in the garden view bungalow. All places were clean and cosy, cleaning is available every day. Both rooms (beachfront and side view) have the best views of the beach and ocean! Place is really quite, no loud music and parties. Breakfasts are tasty and huge: you can have any type of egg, fruits, vegetables, pancakes, they also make some pastries (croissants are really good!), and even hot dishes (beans/potato with sausage/etc), fresh juice and hot drinks; everyday they give something different for breakfasts, so it’s really diverse!
They also have a restaurant, swimming pool, and even kitesurfing school.
Staff and owners are helping; there is a guard as well.

Today I met three special people here at White Sands. We enjoyed delicious fresh food and the juices were fantastic, thank you lovely ladies from the service for the great service and hospitality. I had a nice conversation with the owner of White Sands about the culture and the island in Zanzibar. This is a very cute and clean beachfront hotel & restaurant in Jambiani, which is a peaceful part of Zanzibar. The food was fresh and delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and come back in a next Zanzibar trip!

Good hotel, perfect beach but food is same every day... Pancakes and eggs...

Nice quiet hotel. Delicious food and juices. Breakfast is complete, you can choose what you want and they will cook for you. Very pleasant and polite staff. The most important thing about the hotel is the view and the location. From the room you go straight into the sand. The hotel area is very green with a lot of places for relax. There is a pool but you don't need it when you live right on the beach. Normal and stable internet speed so you can work. Best sunrises every day)

So firstly let me tell you , our original hotel cancelled on us last minute and I’m the type of girl who researches everything so I was in a bit of a panic but chose Jambiani white sands bungalows!

What an amazing little boutique hotel! I was not disappointed from the moment of arrival we were made to feel very welcome.

If your looking for a five star all inclusive then this is not your place. Instead this is a small hotel directly on the beach where you can really experience Zanzibar with the locals with amazing staff and service.
Our room was upgraded to a beach view and waking up every morning to the view of the beach and ocean was spectacular.
Room was comfortable, with a very comfy bed and shower room and balcony. The room also had a fan and AC which was much needed at night!

The staff in particular Aziza and the chef Jacob are absolutely amazing who made sure we had all we needed, cooking us some amazing meals and also some meals that were not on the menu which we asked for! These two really made our holiday amazing and this is one of the reasons I would come back and I wouldn’t usually go to a destination twice!

The beach what can I say about the beach it’s absolutely stunning with the tide coming in and out a few times a day and sometimes it’s so shallow you can walk waist deep for miles.

There is lots of sellers on the beach and massage ladies and also boat boys who will offer you a sail for a really good price and even snorkel or swim.

Amazing spot. A little rough around the edges but for relaxing time, great experience. Came with the family and wife and daughter adored it even though it was hard to find ( Google maps directions sucked!). Once you find the staff and service is superior. No matter the issue they find a solution. Again may not be perfect but their positive attitude is infectious and you ultimately remember you are on holidays and as such, “why so serious”. Sit back relax and pole pole!

Nice accommodation, friendliest staff ever and really good food!

I'll start by saying the bathroom is not 5 stars, but everything else is! We were on our honeymoon and this was a perfect scenario, perfect food and perfect people. Couldn't have asked for more from the staff, the cook woke up at 5 am to give us a lunch to eat when we went to Tanzânia for a 2 day safari and we left our phone Numbers and our families with the hostess (She treated us like familiy every day) so that she could give them news (we were going somewhere with no service).
We went north after this stay and had to Stay ar 2 more hotels (there was a problem with our flight) both were 5 stars, both great but we missed this one on Jambiani the most.

Great location, beautiful beach, you will enjoy epic sunrises here. Personnel is very kind, but the best part of this accommodation is extremely skilled chef. We tried almost everything from fish menu and every single meal was perfection on plate. This man is seriously talented.

Summary-
• Zanzibar is a fantastic vacation destination and epitomizes quintessential idyllic island living, and the Jambiani Whitesands was a fantastic hotel- a treat not to be missed.
• It was a privilege to stay for a few days, and I look forward to a much longer stay next time I visit Zanzibar. I could easily spend a month here. Or two.

Hotel-
• It is a hotel which combined luxury-living, whilst allowing you to relax- wandering directly barefoot from the hotel onto the beach.
• It’s a short drive from Stone Town, which separates it from the busy tourist areas and so has a relaxed ambiance, and allows you to separate from the stresses of day-to-day life.
• The hotel has a warm family feel and isn’t just a commercial entity, it feels like it’s owned and run by a group of lovely, very polite and helpful people who care for their guests, and welcome them with open arms.
• In short, I’d like to give this property 10/10, and I have nothing but positive reviews of the hotel facilities and the service I received from the hotel and the exceptional service delivery team.

Hotel Staff-
• The staff were all exceptional, ensuring that all my needs were met with great conversation, insights on the local area and big smiles- a real asset to the hotel.

Beach, activities and local area-
• The hotel has a luxurious setting, overlooking an idyllic beach, which was very quiet, and very beautiful.
• My room, as you can see from the photos had a splendid balcony overlooking the sea. This was certainly a tranquil spot to sit and watch the sunset over the beach in the evening- a truly beautiful view.
• There were quite a few other restaurants and bars a stone’s throw away from the hotel, and a short walk down the beach.

Hotel Rooms-
• The room was large, well-equipped and very comfortable, centered by a splendid four-poster bed, covered in rose petals each day.
• Despite there being very few mosquitoes, and I believe hasn’t been an incidence of malaria for five years or so, I particularly appreciated the mosquito net as assurance that the mosquitoes wouldn’t bother me whilst asleep.
• The bathrooms were very modern and clean with high-pressure showers in place to blast off the sand after a long day at the beach.

The Restaurant-
• The restaurant provided a delicious breakfast every morning with a full array of fruit, mango juices, omelet and other warm breakfast foods made-to-order, accompanied by a sea breeze and beautiful ocean views.
• The restaurant management and table service team were fantastic, and having such a great team there definitely helped set the day off in a positive fashion.

Great place for all sea lovers, dining, and activities for all in the family. Make sure you taste great authentic Swahili food when you are there.
