Nine Frogs Stack

The most iconic sun moon lake statue! As a kid, with all the news coverage during drought, this was all I knew about sun moon lake ;)

Beautiful easy pathway from 水蛙頭步道 leads to here. Or alternatively, you can also reach here from shoreline pathway from cable cart just down the street.

We stayed at Ita Thao for about 2 weeks. Most afternoons I would walk along the boardwalk to the Nine Frogs stack enjoying the serenity of the area. On a few occasions I got to see monkeys in the forest. I love this area. 😊

It was first time to visit the Yuchi township and I'm really amazed by the beauty of the area specially the lake. Seeing the nine frogs was the most memorable part. You really have to put some effort to visit the area because you have to walk your way down the stairs to the lake but once you saw the place absolutely mesmerizing!

If the timing is right, like us. We saw a great view of sunset here.

The number of frogs you see depends on the sea level for that particular day, whether it's high or low tide as well. Do pack essentials such as insect repellent, sunscreen and water! The scenery is awesome.. Walking through the mangroves is cooling as well.

The 9-flog statue itself is not exciting. However, the trail to visit the statue is beautiful and quiet. One way is more than two miles that discourage many lazy tourists. Highly recommended.

The Sun Moon Lake is located in the middle of Taiwan,Nantou,is not only the biggest natural lake ,but also the Reservoir in Taiwan
.The frog statue is a historic spot in Sun Moon lake.Most of the time you just can see two frog in the end of pathway,but when it is water shortage you will see nine frog on there.However it is not a good information by seeing nine frog,But it is a great place you must to go.
