Sun Moon Lake Cable Car Station

The cable car rides were relaxing and takes you to Aboriginal Formosa. Tickets are sold at the 2nd floor and there is a selection of the regular cable car or crystal cable car (one with glass-base/see through flooring). The crystal cars will take slightly longer as it’s about 3 regular cars to 1 crystal car. But if you are not afraid of heights, I’ll say go for it 👍

The cable car provides a good view of the entire sun moon lake, though the wait is quite long and very weather dependent.

Beautiful lake with delicious food in the main shopping area. Loved the gondola ride to the amusement park as well. It's really high so if you don't like heights it's a bit intense.

You have the option to ride the crystal cabin (glass flooring), but it has a longer wait time. Otherwise, ride the normal cable car. It's so nice because while you're up, you get to see the view of Sun Moon Lake from above, and appreciate how huge it is. The place is also filled with greenery which is pleasing to the eyes. We booked our tickets via Klook, and just went straight inside and scan our tickets in the Information Center.

This must be one of the most surreal places I’ve ever been to. I don’t know if it was because there was barely anyone, or because of the music, the weather… it was breathtaking. I wish I could have eaten something at the cafés or at least spend some more time here, because oof it was so gorgeous

300 for a return ticket is more than a fair price for what is essentially a sightseeing trip (at the end of the line, there is nothing to do and nowhere to go unless you want to continue to the amusement park). Great views over the lake, huge drop between two most distant towers (750 in length, 300 in height). Wait line for the crystal cabins (green ones) can be excessive, take a regular for at least half of the trip, saves you a lot of time (and a lot of adrenalin).

The view from the cable car was absolutely fascinating and I would definitely recommend it to anyone. There are two options for the cable car: regular and glass floor. The queue for the glass floor cable car was longer than the regular one, so we decided to take the regular cable car on the way up and the glass one on the way back. If you have any concerns about the safety of this cable car, rest assured that it was made using Austrian technology.

Really nice experience, highly recommended to do. Efficient embarking system and some nice shopping possibilities before the return trip including rest rooms.

Great option to get a great view of sun moon lake without having to climb a bunch of stairs ;)

For those with strong nerves, you have the option to choose crystal (bottomless) cart. No thanks for me.

Many take this option to visit the indigenous village park, but please make sure you know when the cart closes.

I love the scenery there! The view is beautiful, you can see sakura blooming, and there are 2 choices of cable cars. One is the normal cable car and another one is the crystal cable car. The difference is that the base of the crystal cable car is transparent, while the normal one is non see through. The price is the same, but the waiting time is definitely different. If you don't mind a slightly longer wait, go for the crystal one!

This gondola has one of the best view in the world. It’s also super new and smooth. We really enjoy this 1.8K ride. We are having so much fun taking in the scenery that we forgot our brand new iPhone 14 pro in the car. The ticket booth track down the car and got our phone back in no time. We are so grateful for them! The main building also has a food place with amazing views. What a pleasant trip here.

Stunning view lake by riding a Cable car from Formosan Agricultural. You can see whole side of sun moon lake...inside of the establishment they have restaurant and souvenirs shop..that you can buy the item. cable car open only around 4 to 4:30, after a long ride you feel hungry but dont worry they have restaurant inside. they have heavy meal or snacks.you can down or go outside.they have a place to take more view for photography.
