Old Papa Black Tea

We stayed in Shuishe as we visited Sun Moon Lake and thought most places would only serve average food to it being a tourist destination but we were wrong. This place served amaaaazing braised pork. They offered no beer but we were told to bring our own from the convenience stoor a few doors down. Staff was friendly and food was served promptly.

We toured all around Sun Moon lake looking for good food and were only able to find overly expensive and mediocre food until we found Papa Black Tea. We ended up eating here 3 times in 2 days because it was by far the best place to eat in the area. Food was great and it was always packed, even with several more local people. The bamboo shoots and strawberry ice dessert were excellent. Service was very kind and very fast. 10/10 reccomend

Recommended by our B&B host. The 卤肉饭 was one of the best I've tasted in Taiwan - meat was on the fatty side, slathered on sauce-drenched rice accompanied with salted veg and crunchy, tart pickled radishes. The tableside chilli condiments paired very nicely too. Also had the noodles in soup which was nice as well but would prefer the rice. For NTD 65 each, portions were filling and very worth.

I was traveling alone to Sun Moon Lake, which can sometimes be a problem when looking for a restaurant as many cater to families and groups. So my hotel suggested 茶老爸 (Old Papa Black Tea). It was perfect for one person and the 魯肉飯 (braised pork rice) was some of the best I've ever tasted. Friendly service and reasonable prices.

Lu rou fan was heaven-sent after a long day of exploring. Mee swah was decent but just ok for us. Quick service!

I was starving after walking at Sun Moon Lake and visiting the Wen Wu Temple, this place serves up local authentic braised pork rice and it hit the spot just right.

This place HIT THE SPOT. We ordered the brisket rice, Yi noodles, intestine vermicelli, rice noodles, cucumber salad and boiled vegetables (potato leaves). We finished everything and ordered seconds. Great flavor. Like other reviewers stated, the meat was on the fattier side, but was still great. Servers were extremely courteous and helpful. Give it a shot when you visit sun moon lake!

來外帶飲料的，我覺得這家珍奶可以說是日月潭必喝了
60元的珍奶，大杯、香濃、好喝
CP值太高了
然後珍珠是蜜過的，咬進去就是滿口的香甜
珍珠的Q度也掌控的很好
甜度大家可以自行斟酌一下，我們點微糖的非常喜歡，真的不會太甜

랄루호텔에 묵으며 2번이나 나가서 식사한 곳.
저렴한가격에 매뉴대부분이 맛있었고, 버블티 음료도 다 훌륭했던 곳.

Très bon accueil et très bon repas!
Je recommande vivement la salade de papaye au fruit de la passion et le kimchi qui sont délicieux.
Et le braised pork rice plus classique mais tout aussi bon.
