Fantastic place to visit. Views are amazing and the temple itself very impressive and beautifully presented.

Has a place to buy coffee or tea if you want it. Also the story of the temple and the Buddhist master Xuan Zang has English translation.

Peaceful place to relax and take in the breathtaking scenery.

We had the most amazing experience here. With the upcoming Lantern Festival coming up, the temple had many activities including lantern painting and free food. We explored the temple and learned a lot about Buddhism through the many educational exhibits and relics. The monks and volunteers were amazing and helpful and kind. We painted a lantern in honor of our family and my late mom, and they helped us pack it up and the master painter even painted a portrait of my brother! The temple itself is beautiful, but the people made it simply amazing.

Nice temple with great view to the lake. There is a gift shop and cafe. The walking trail is a bit hard with many steps and climbing. Its about 850m from the first temple.

This was actually my last stop of day trip in this side of Sun moon lake, which i connected Xuan Kuan Wharf, Xuan Kuan Temple, Cien Pagoda and Xuan Zang Temple with Cien Long/Blue Dragon Trail.

Honestly, there are some religious contents here if you ‘d like to learn about Xuan Zang and his contribution of introducing Buddhism to East Asia. I didn’t take many photos of the building itself for many guides had done so.

I would recommend having a seat in their garden, which face the lake with nice view. This is also where you could sit down and grab some snacks and enjoyed a little bit of breeze under the tree.

Very serene place overlooking the lake.

A small but interesting temple. I passed it while going to Ci’en Pagoda and checked it out. They had some small artefacts upstairs (had to take your shoes off to go up), signs stating not to take photos there (I believe to respect the artefacts). There were some other things here but I didn’t check them out. Worth a small stroll around, would probably take a maximum of 20 minutes.

Beautiful, serene, and peaceful. I came here on a weekday so the place wasn't crowded at all. Worth visiting if you are more of a spiritual person. There are several stalls in front of the temple where a variety of souvenirs and food are sold

Beautiful temple worthy of visiting.

玄奘寺位於日月潭南岸環湖公路上，是整條環湖公路之最高點，距離玄光寺約二點五公里(公路)，玄光寺與玄奘寺中間，有青龍山步道連結，如果開車停在碼頭附近，遊覽玄光寺時，可以小小健行爬到玄奘寺，一起遊覽。
玄奘寺為三層樓的中式建築，高大牌樓，紅柱白牆，進入前院後，兩排高大的樹木，石碑，大鼓，醒鐘，前院地上鋪上白色石子，一整個環境讓人感到清幽寧靜。
正殿供俸三寶佛和玄奘大師，二樓供俸釋迦摩尼佛和觀世音菩薩，三樓供俸玄奘大師的靈骨舍利。旁邊還有玄奘大師紀念館，另一處有個觀景台可以休息喝茶，欣賞日月潭秀麗的風景。從玄光碼頭->玄光寺->玄奘寺，形成一條遊覽線。

祥和清幽地靈人傑的好地方。寺院有玄奘大師紀念館，敍述記載玄奘大師的傳奇一生，以及對佛教的貢獻。值的参觀。

走上去1分鐘就可以眺望日月潭的小景點，適合帶老人家過來賞景。寺廟有賣50元美式咖啡很香，也有賣日月潭紅茶應景😆

走完慈恩塔可以來玄奘寺走走。這裡看日月潭也是有另一種風味～

非常好的地方，湖景第一排，買杯咖啡或紅茶坐在那裡，是一大享受。

您有在夜晚的時候，親臨玄奘寺過嗎。
有別於白天遊客如織的情況，當夜幕攏罩整片大地的時候，抬頭仰望星空，原來星星高掛在天上。只有在夜晚的時候湛放光芒。
幸運的話還可以觀賞到流星奔馳於夜空中的景象。
2023/10/08起個大早，來到玄奘寺觀看星空，使用pixel 7 開啟天文攝影模式，月亮剛從東方緩緩升起，形成拍攝的畫面。
日月潭的夜晚也是蠻有趣的。
