Shuiyuan Suspension Bridge

Absolutely worth the steep hike! The views are amazing, and the suspension bridge is a unique experience to cross, to the waterfalls! The drive from Taichung is about 2 hours through scenic mountain towns. There is a large parking spot where you have to leave your car. A small shuttle bus takes you up further the hill, which is about a 10 minute ride. From where the minibus drops you, there is a hike you need to take for about 1 km. It's steep, but doable for even someone unfit like me, and so worthit! Bring a full bottle of water, and plan to spend at least 2 to 3 hours (between the shuttle, up and down, walking and crossing the bridge, you will need it to enjoy this beautiful scenery!)

Great experience, worth the walk up to the Suspension Bridge and Falls! The view from the top was Amazing and breath taking! One of the best suspension bridge in Taiwan i guess🌉🌈

I loved coming here.
The bus shuttle leaves you a little bit far but this is a great 1 kilometer walking/hiking throughout the village. At the bus stop you can buy some millet wine and air fried snacks; try them first if you are not sure if you would like to buy them. I assure you will buy it

The suspension bridge is painted with different colors on its wooden ladders，which makes it seem like a long colorful dragon from a distance. Walking on the bridge is a thrilling experience for those having acrophobia. And if you keep walking to the other end of the bridge, a double-layer waterfall hanging on the cliff will come into sight. Feel interested in the bridge? You're asked to make an online reservation in advance.

One of the beautiful places i have ever been to here in Taiwan! 😍 Needed to hike for like 30mins or so just to get here. Luckily, we camped just below this place and the owner brought us here by van. We went here early in the morning so we enjoyed the bridge all by ourselves for like an hour 😅 I suggest you go here early in the morning so you can enjoy and take all the pictures you want just like we did! 😉 The end of the bridge is a treat you wouldn’t wanna miss! 😍

So amazing, so much fun and exciting been there. Enchanting view of layered mountain made my heart out to nature.
Feeling calmed up there after a long walk. the beautiful view of the hanging bridge and water falls is so touching.

Be prepared to climb up a 500m+ steep path after the shuttle, the breathtaking view at the end of the path is worth it.

A challenge to get to place featuring the longest suspension bridge in Taiwan. To get there one would need to make a reservation on line, take a shuttle bus, then hike up hill 1 km. But boy after the arduous Journey one is rewarded with breath taking view of a beautiful bridge spanning the river gorge, the back drop of twin dragon falls is simply amazing. I would consider visiting in the afternoon in which the sunshine on the falls.

it's tiring because the hiking is really going to be done, because cars are not allowed to go straight there. but you will lose your tiredness when you see the rainbow bridge and especially the view👍👍👍👍 very enjoy🥰🥰🥰

Great views and great experience loved the walk across the bridge sometimes you can feel the bridge shake a little from all the people walking across it

Its better to go there when sunny days, you can see the beautiful views. But in winter days you can only see fogs☺🤣

very breathtaking scenery and stunning from high place and I think this is the longest bridge in Taiwan that I have ever experienced... When I was there the bridge still open for tourist, that's lucky for us.

A magnificent place to visit!

The Shuiyuan Suspension Bridge is a great tour spot when in the area. The new and colourful suspension bridge is located next to the old one which is now closed leading on the other side to a nice waterfall.
The access to the bridge - though involving a shuttle bus ride and a 1 km upward hike from the bus stop - is worthwhile the effort.

A very attractive and well built suspension bridge on a mountain in Nantou County. It's very well managed as you are required to park at a designated parking area if you're really enough, and then they have shuttles to take you half the way up and you'll need to walk rest of the way up again to get to said bridge. Not too strenuous, you'll see quite a few well aged hikers along the way.

Fantastic... We rented the motor scooter at Shuili. After some time at the bridge and the nearby village took the back road to Sun Moon lake then back to Shuili.
