Vase Rock

Landmark and iconic place of Liqui island. The rock formation is very near to the shore. Water is crystal clean but shore is little rocky and not easy to swim. It’s a good place snorkelling.
Streets around the place buzz with tourists and eateries. Full of party atmosphere all over. Very lively.

One of xiaoliuqiu's most picturesque and recognizable landmarks, a short 15 min walk from the main ferry port to the beach.

Should go during low tide. You can wade in the water and play on the beach

Super clear water, coral beach. Great place for afternoon as it will be shaded. Snorkeling and sunset spot. The man made structure on the land side is a eye sore. On the far end, it connects to. Trail which is really beautiful.

Beautiful island, cant wait to go back.
Have to get scooters as soon as you get off of the ferry.
So many tucked away spots along the coastline.
We didnt even make it to all the hiking in 3 days.

LOTS of sea turtles easily visible and very close to shore! Possible the best place in the world to swim with that many sea turtles this easy. Be sure to see if large groups are snorkeling that day or ask the locals if the waves are fine to swim around.

Located near the port. Great view but too overcrowded and not recommended for swimming. A lot of food stalls nearby to enjoy the scenery

As a visitor to Taiwan, I had the pleasure of exploring the island of Liuqiu and one of the highlights of my trip was visiting Vase Rock. The natural rock formation was truly breathtaking and one of the most impressive sights I have ever seen.

The climb to the top of Vase Rock was challenging, but the panoramic view of the surrounding ocean and coastline was well worth the effort. The view from the top was truly spectacular, and it was amazing to see how the rock formation had been eroded over time to create such a unique and recognizable shape.

The sunset at Vase Rock was also a highlight of my visit. The orange glow of the setting sun illuminated the rock and surrounding ocean, creating a stunning vista that was truly unforgettable. The colors of the sky were so vivid and breathtaking that I had to remind myself that it was real and not a painting.

Aside from its natural beauty, Vase Rock is also steeped in local legend and lore, which added to the overall experience. Learning about the local folklore and the history of the rock formation gave me a deeper appreciation for the natural wonders of Liuqiu.

My visit to Vase Rock was an incredible experience and one that I will never forget. The stunning natural beauty of the rock formation, the panoramic view of the ocean and coastline, and the rich local folklore all combined to create a truly unique and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend a visit to Vase Rock for anyone traveling to Taiwan.

The most iconic location in Liuqiu island. It offers a flat service and a preview of all the other locations around the island. Clear water and lots of sea creatures all within accessible steps. No dangerous rocks to climb or anything. Definitely the first beach to visit on the island!

This place is just nature in a pure form. I do have to note, we were lucky to visit when there was practically no one there. Just standing there, taking in the ebb and flow of water, and watching the crabs move slowly is very relaxing.

This is one of the best places I've ever been to in Taiwan. Not only for the view, but also for the fact that you can swim with sea turtles. Amazing!

I didn't see any turtles here, but it's a scenic area. Vase rock is a place all the tourists go to take pictures. A lot of snorkelers go out from here. There's a nice little pond area smaller kids can play in which was nice. Safer than going to an open beach area.

Perfect place to enjoy the majestic sunrise. You can witness some green sea turtle too. If you plan to do snorkeling book a slot early morning before it gets too crowded.

This is definitely a nice landmark and a must see when you visit the island. The water here is very fresh and not too cold or warm.

You can dip your feet and just relax with the light waves.

Nice spot on the island. A single weathered rock formation on the beach. It sits in crystal clear shallow waters.

came here 2nd time around to do scuba dive this time. the first time was snorkeling. always have a great time every visit❤🥰. mesmerizing place😍.

On the northern coast of the island. Great place for sunrise photo with Taiwan coastline/mountains on the horizon. Saw several scuba/snorkelers out past the rock later in the day. High tide doesn't offer much beach access, but tidal wall gives plenty of space to walk along shore between the two access points. Beautiful views and peaceful scenery.

Vase rock, located next to the harbour, less than 5mins on scooter.
The water is very clear and the sea turtles frequent this place :)

Try walking around the beach, but do NOT touch the sea turtles as they are protected animals :)

Busy but nice to visit!
