Beinan Site

📍You need a car or scooter to get to the site. It's not a far drive from the Taitung train station. They have plenty of parking spaces.

🌳 The site is very well kept. One can authentically experience the atmosphere and traditions of the Beinan tribe.

Accessible and affordable, it lies in the northern part of Taidong city, in the close outskirts. Big, and well kept park, it's ideal for a picnic, as well as getting acquainted with Taiwan's mysterious prehistory. It dates more than 5000 years back and it provides a good amount of information of a little-known culture which it's said it gave birth to either one or another of the 2 biggest ethnic groups of Taiwan. It's a burial site hiding a priceless and remarkable content of objects of all sorts and skeletons. The park also offers reconstructions of houses, a training center for youth, and an ancient boat. It has clean bathrooms and trails connecting every side of it.

It's the place you can learn a lot about 卑南 Culture in Taiwan.

走進去才知道像是一個很大的公園，
也有看到當地人會在這野餐，也是帶孩子來這放風放電的好景點
位置在台東車站的後方，走路10分鐘就可到。

遠離市區，卑南遺址公園愜意而迷人，眼前一片閑靜而遼闊的大草皮，是台東市民私藏的散步秘境，知道這裡存有遠自三千年前的聚落遺址，卻從沒想過竟是隨處就可能出現於腳下地面的這般豐碩。

熱愛考古研究的人，對人類生命的來源與意義特別執著，一次次地調查與守護，隨著時代更迭，留下了如今臺灣考古史上最完整的聚落型態與資料。一起跟著國立臺灣史前文化博物館的腳步，進入三千年前的在地生活想像，石板棺、家屋、飾品、生活器具，每一樣出土、每一道發現，都是珍貴無比的無聲述說。

到台東車站後必玩的一個史前史的卑南族考古遺址公園，距今已有5000年了！跟中華文明同歲數。也證明了台灣跟中國本來就沒有關係。5000年前史前時代這裡就有卑南族在這裡居住了！

旅遊時，很好的觀光中繼點，可以來走一下，附近沒甚麼住家，很好停車，年假前平日來走走，人不多，離台東火車站很近

住台東車站附近的朋友，不要錯過這個美麗、又有歷史意義的景點。誠如前位網友分享的，面對火車站左邊有機車停車場，那裡有一個園區入口，走路不到十分鐘就到了。

喜歡了解歷史進程的朋友很適合來👍🏻 不過現場只剩下殘垣斷壁，史前的玉器或石器可能都收進展示廳裡了，如果想更完整了解的可能看完遺址後還要去展示廳才能了解更全面！
