Hengchun Night Market

This is a local night market that is opened only on every Sunday evening and I strongly encourage you to visit Hengchun market Vs the Kenting Main Street. In terms of the food here, it’s more value for money and it’s not that “touristy” so you will get to enjoy more local scene in this market.

That beef steak on hot plate is just TWD 160-170 with a generous portion if I remember correctly !!!

This night market is great!!! It’s unfortunate that it’s only open on Sundays, but definitely hit up the Stinky Tofu+Century Egg Stall. That was AMAZING! The fermented chicken wings were mouth watering. And so many more solid choices out there. If you can, try looking up best stalls in the local language on google. That’s what helped us pick the right stalls to hit. Also, if you’re staying in Kenting St, this might be a little far. My SO was taiwanese so he was able to rent out a scooter and this was just a 30 minute ride.

Open on sunday, and there are many stalls. It is one of the best night markets.

Wow this is one of the biggest night markets I've been to while touring Taiwan. Lots of food, games and people. Definitely recommend checking this out if you are here.

Surprisingly a very large night market. Only on Sundays so we were very lucky!

Lots of local snacks with good pricing compared to the other big cities.

Only open on Sunday though and starts to hype up around 630pm.

Recommend the oyster omelet, 豆乳chicken wings. If you’re lucky you might see a sika deer walking around!

A good place to go with your family things to buy games to play. It's a lot of fun!

I can honestly state that there is a variety of local food can be found here. Furthermore, the price are also very reasonable for tourists since the items are targeted for the locals, unlike some night markets who make tourists as their target buyers. However, halal foods (for muslims, as I am one) are very rare since most of their dishes include the use of lard oil and pork. A few of the foods that I do eat here are grilled squid (NT$160), Taiwanese-style teppanyaki (NT$40) and sushi. They also have a Pakistan stall which sells delicious halal roti/samosa.

The prize here is cheaper than 墾丁 Night Market

Crowded night market that operates only on Sun. Prices are cheaper than Kenting night market. Go where the locals go.

Good night market! Various choices to snack with. and the prices are all very fair considering the quality. An old and traditional type of night market. You can play games, have snacks, or drinks.

This is the best night market I have ever been to.Every Sunday evening,locals set up food stores,drinks stalls,game stalls,clothing stores along a few normally quiet streets.One thing I can tell you,this is certainly not a tourist trap,unlike Kenting main street,which is hell.This night market offers cheap local delicacies and drinks,and is packed with locals who love this place.Feel the lively atmosphere as you stroll along the streets.Highly recommended to visit.

True local night market with lots of taiwanese dishes

Nice and authentic night market where there is enough room to walk freely. They have food but also games for children and accessoires shops

Things are cheap and delicious, there are many activities for children, you can't miss octopus balls, lemon tea, steak

Its good place to spend time with friends and family.... Munch on snacks and drinks and ice cream or shop for apparel and more.... Spend an evening here and see interesting stuff....
