Located next to Luodong train station. Took 60-90min of bus transfer from TaoYuan airport to Luodong. Very convenience and bus is available every 30min. Bus ticket cost NT280 (free seating) with limited size and pieces of luggage. 统联客运 (Ubus) will stop at 3 bus stations in Yilan: JiaoXi, Yilan City and Luodong. Advisable to purchase bus ticket 1day earlier if you plan to leave Yilan on Sunday to Taipei (cost NT143, allocate seat number) because crowded during the day itself. Anyway, you can request for change the timing to earlier or later than your departure time, provided seat is available.

Buying a ticket is very easy. The staff are helpful and if your mandarin is not terrific, they will speak slowly. Some also speak english as well.

The waiting area is well-shaded, but is a little crowded. The bus station is located very close to hotels, scooter rentals, and the night market.

The buses themselves are very spacious and comfortable. I would recommend this as an alternative to taking a train.

There wasn't a sign for each bus berth that indicated the bus number that would stop at that berth, but the friendly lady at the Kuo Kuang counter was more than happy to advise on the correct berth we should wait at, and answer any queries you may have (e.g. the Easycard can be used for the Kuo Kuang buses).

She would also announce the arrival and call out the destination for passengers' information.

She also enthusiastically bids the bus and passenger farewell as the bus leaves the berth.

Great convenient bus station right next to the back of lotoung train station. Busses running regularly to anywhere you need to go.
