Wow! This was by far the best hostel I've stayed at in many years of travel.✨ The hostel was self sufficient with easy to use self check in machines, the pods were spacious like little bedrooms that could only be accessed with your card, and the common areas were clean and plentiful.

What a lovely staff ❤ The young guy running the place is so sweet and helpful, and he has been giving his all to aid people of all nationalities. He also took us on an amazing firefly trip 🤩 we also talked with a sweet maid, who wanted to learn more about our country 😊

The place is nice and clean with big pods, spacious common areas, a well equipped kitchen, big lockers and heating in the toilet seats! Finally the hostel is located close to the street food area and places to rent bikes. Would recommend 👌

Very practical little capsule rooms. Fairly priced, live band, facilities were all clean and easy to use.

Lovely little hostel located in a quiet street in Ita Thao. Contact-less check in and out which is quite convenient. Staff were lovely and accommodating. Dorm was clean. Locker services available outside rooms (but you have to pay for that separately). Cold and hot water systems outside rooms on every level. Nice terrace on top floor. Really close walk to Ita Thao Night Market so you are never short on food. Reasonably priced accomodation for the area. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Owl Hostel is foreigner-friendly!

Room:
The room is in a little cubby split into top and bottom bunk with sliding doors. You tap your card to open the door, which is annoying if you're on the top bunk because you have to tap your card while standing on the ladder. Inside the cubby the bed was big enough for me (5'7.5") and fit both me and my friend.

Payment:
You can use cash or card (visa or mastercard). It was about $69 USD for 2 people to a room. (Very reasonable given location and the facility.)

Location:
Right near Ita Thao Shopping District so food is easily accessible! The pier is right there.

Bathrooms:
- BR is co-ed
- 2 stalls w/ bidets and 1 urinal
- Shower stalls located in BR (about 5-6 with a mini shelf inside along with a small basket to put items in)
- Area right outside with cotton swabs, cotton pads (for makeup), hair dryer and napkins.
- There's also a water dispenser and trash can in the common area.

Noteworthy:
✨Rooftop terrace with plenty of tables and wicker chairs.
✨3rd floor had a common area with sofa and a large Teddy bear🧸
✨They have FREE mini concerts/performances every night. The artists typically do street performances but they're extremely talented.
✨Allowed us to leave our luggage there for the day to explore even after we checked out.

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Owl Hostel is newly built, and feels more like an upscale hotel than a cheap hostel. The pictures don’t lie; the facilities are state-of-the-art, with modern bathrooms, high-tech cubicles (although, if I had to have the tiniest of criticisms, they tend to get a little stuffy and hot), and amenities like cold water dispensers. Plus, the rooftop view is gorgeous.

The best part though? The staff. They helped us plan each day and make sure we had the best experience possible, letting us know about the best local restaurants, giving us discounted tickets for transportation, and even searching through public transport timetables to make sure we made the most of our time. Would I come again? Yes. Would I recommend my friends to come? Yes. Would I recommend anyone to come? Yes, yes, yes!

My friend and I stayed for two nights, it was definitely one of the best hostel we’ve ever stayed. Lovely and helpful staff, very clean and organised common space, not to mention the amazing view from the roof. Would love to visit again for sure!

We stayed for a night… staff was super helpful…great place for travelers …maintained neat and clean.. specially bathroom areas… Hostel offers pleasant environment throughout… will recommend for sure considering staff, cleanliness, and environment
:-( compartments are not sound proof.. people above our compartment keep making noises which screwed our sleep for almost until 2 ..
Need to pay for towels… which can be just washed
:-) location is good … lots of traditional food around but be sure to visit street market before 8 pm
The compartments are huge and spacious but we didn’t get any locker service for luggage however other rooms have luggage storage on 5 floor

Owl Hostel is the best hostel in Taiwan!! Rooftop view/seating, huge TV with Netflix, great capsule style beds with much more privacy and security than most hostels, beautiful and comfortable common areas, heated toilet seats, events on weekends (movie night, foosball tournaments, firefly tours, etc) and outstanding location near Ita Thao pier. I will be going back for sure!! Well worth the price!

good location. hostel beds are private. compared to other hostels in taiwan owl hostel offers much better dorm rooms.

I stayed two days in this Hostel and the hosts are very warm. The place is ideal, the price is attractive, the comfort is perfect. I'll come back if I come again next time!
