It’s a really precious museum, as in many aspects of Adana, it’s not known well. It has incredible quantity of coins, Roman ruins and more importantly Hittite status, Tarhunda monument is unbelievable. The museum has also very calm garden cafe.

Huge museum with enormous content. The collection is really massive, including a giant series of rooms with old preserved mosaics. Definitely worth seeing

Visiting Adana Museum has left a big positive impression upon me. I have seen all the museums in Turkey and can state with confidence that this museum is number one regarding how objects are displayed and the use of multimedia.
The building is an old textile factory, "Milli Mensucat" converted into a modern museum in 2017. The articles displayed are mainly from archeological content and mosaic. Gaziantep Zeugma mosaics are famous but here the environment far surpasses Zeugma.
Our guide mentioned that the objective is to position Adana Museum as the biggest museum of the middle east. I am convinced that this is a high possibility.

Pleasantly surprised by our visit to the Adana Museum. It is really well laid out and takes you through the history of the region from prehistoric times to the modern era. There are lots of Hittite, Greek and Roman findings and an amazing mosaics display which you view from an observation deck around the hall. There are videos to watch and English and Turkish descriptions for every item on display. It is well worth a visit, and seniors get in free.

Impressive collection and informative. Lots of archaeological finds from the Adana and nearby area. Entrance cost 12 lira. I visited last Friday and it closed at 4 pm instead of 4:30 pm. It's a shame that I couldn't make it to the mosiac hall at all.

The Adana Archaeological Museum was established in 1919 during the French rule of Cilicia. The original collection includes objects as diverse as stoneware and wood found by local civilians
