Saw this magnificent sight from a flight from Zagreb to Doha as the bridge caught the light of the afternoon sun on July 24. It was a fun Sunday event on a beautiful gray day in Julian CA four months and a world away to figure out which bridge it was. Magical view with the Black Sea beyond

A beautiful bridge connecting Europe and Asia. It makes a great impression while driving. In the distance you can see the great city of Istanbul. Beautiful view, I recommend going.

It's amazingly beautiful Bridge 🌉 that looks so picturesque Wether you're taking a photo 📸 nearby bridge in the day time or even in the night time. It's a must visit if you're in Istanbul then you shall not miss it.

A beautiful bridge over the Bosphorus that connecting Europe to Asia and it’s overlooking the Black Sea. I was very lucky to pass under the bridge while sailing on ship on few occasions. The bridges looks more beautiful at night time with the lights on.

The Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge as known as Third Bridge over the Bosphorus

Third bridge crossing Asia Europe divide. It is commissioned to private equity with a build/operate/transfer contract. Turkish government committed to a predetermined toll pass count which if not achieved government pays for the unfulfilled vehicles. No one knows if it is feasible investment in the long run but it helped offloading international transport traffic out of congested Istanbul traffic. It was a nightmare to share my commute with passerby trucks crowding the flow of passenger car city traffic.

Is it the most unique bridge out there? No. Does it get the job done, decrease the traffic jams, save time, look cool, and is safe? Yes! Bridges in Istanbul and overall in Turkey aren't that cheap but it's definitely worth the time and money investing in crossing over bridges like this one.

Definetly thats my favourite bridge in Istanbul. I really recommend seeing it during the night and taking a picture using long exposure😉 or take a drone like I did and see what it can do💪🏼 Enjoy!

Superb, single span, modern suspension bridge, the most northerly of those connecting Europe to Asia over the Bosphorus. A great place to ship spot for Russian intelligence ships for passing on the info' to Ukraine, like the now sadly demised Russian intelligence ship "Ivan Khurs". Thank you Turkey ! x

I had the opportunity to cross the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge during my recent visit to Istanbul, and it was an impressive experience. This suspension bridge spans the Bosphorus Strait and connects the Asian and European sides of Istanbul, providing a faster and more efficient way to travel between the two continents.

The bridge itself is a marvel of engineering and design, with a total length of 2,164 meters and a height of 322 meters. The road surface is wide and well-maintained, and the views of the city and the Bosphorus from the bridge are breathtaking.

One of the things that impressed me about the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge is its capacity. It can accommodate up to eight lanes of traffic, including two for public transportation, making it an important link in Istanbul's transportation network.

The bridge is also well-designed with safety in mind. There are barriers separating the pedestrian and cycling paths from the roadways, and there are emergency phone stations at regular intervals along the bridge.

Overall, I would highly recommend crossing the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge to anyone visiting Istanbul. It's a great way to experience the city from a different perspective, and the engineering and design of the bridge itself are truly impressive.

Super view, this bridge is a very fast way to go th Istanbul airport fro the Asian part of Istanbul.
The Taxi driver charged us some extra money for the passing fees. But believe me it is worth to pay more and skip the traffic jam from the normal roads.
The view is amazing all the way until you cross the bridge..
