Yasar Patisserie

Kahramanmaras the birth place of the famous Turkish ice cream and the Mado brand. Yasar Patisserie are the owners of the Mado brand and this shop is the main branch or the first shop which has the best ice cream you can try. The taste here is the best and the must try ice cream in Kahramanmaras! The place is super busy as you can expect and the decorations are interesting. We loved this place and drove 300km just to stop here to eat their ice cream. We also helped ourselves to the cone ice cream with chocolate and orange flavours.

Absolutely wonderful experience at Yasar Patisserie, the dondurma (ice cream) is delicious thick and creamy treat for the tastebuds. Is not like any other ice cream. Unique and must try.
Special mention to Bashar isa who looked after us and introduced us to the different sweets and also salep. He is a credit to this establishment.

The best dondurma in Kahramanmaras (or in the world according to my wife). Two different stands, one for the traditional milk flavoured and another for the fruit, chocolate, etc flavours. We tried the traditional, cones start at 7.5TRY up to 25TRY. Thanks to Yasar (Bashar) for helping us with his excellent English.

Decorated better than an ethnology museum. If you go when not too busy, you may spend hours viewing all the rooms full of antiques after chewing your famous, hard but creamy ice cream.

Most probably the best Maras ice-cream and deserts with pistacio all around Turkey. Also, if you have interest, you can try red paper powder and other local tastes like Tarhana, which is quite different from other usual Tarhanas you can see elsewhere.

Excellent service. I had a chat with the owner he was very pssionate about his store he explained how they used solid state gas to keep ice creams cold until you go home.
