Had a good time walking around the site, you can purchase the ticket at the entrance and enter the other 9 sites of Carthage with it.
The site has a nice view of the city, and you can explore it within 1-2 hours.

so beautiful to see the city from the top of the hill!! explore the museum of Carthage while you’re here. it’s low-key and outdoors. the open air, kind of disorganized fashion actually gives a clearer sense of these artifacts and allows you to see them as they are: ruins of Carthage.

From the bottom of the road which leads up the hill, I took a shepherds path through the grass and trees that eventually leads to the top of the hill. You’re actually rewarded with access to ruins that our outside of the tourist area and much better views of the surrounding area; however, there is a big fence into the offical area so you have to be nimble enough to squeeze underneath it otherwise you have to walk the whole way back down the hill and back up the road to gain access. Very magical place

Amazing to see so much history. To know that the Romans Emperors have been there is owesome. And even more interesting to see the ruins of the small houses that date from even before the Romans period.

Very beautiful place with lots of history to see and feel. Not crowded and hot but we went off-season in April. Took a private driver to show all the sites. Worth it.

We started our visit in Carthage by the district of Punic Byrsa which was a walled citadel dominated the city below. Today, only the ruins remain such as the massive foundations and fragments of columns that give us an idea of how impressive was the citadel. Since the Carthage National Museum was closed, we did not have the chance to see the collection of objects found on the site. However, we went to visit the Acropolium, which is the old Saint Louis Cathedral. Visit my Instagram (kelledstyle) and my blog for more pictures and info ;-)

Nice archeological museum) each stone is a piece of history! It's a pity we've spent too little time there

Great adventure. It is a pity that only great ruins have been left after this wonderful culture.

Wonderful place with an excellent view opening over the capital city of Tunis. What I liked the most about this site was the Carthaginian ruins believed to be the city of Hannibal.

The feeling of visiting historical sites is always unique like going back in time yet being in the present... wow!! Great to see how the past civilizations lived and enjoyed life creating things we still enjoy these days!
