Nice and quiet village. I really enjoyed my stay here. You can stoll through the lovely allys and enjoy the fabulous doors. The sea view and weather was something else to cherish.

It is more expensive than expected. But it's because I used it alone. It's a good accommodation for two to three people. There's everything you can do your own food and the manager is so kind. You can walk around the beautiful tourist attractions around the accommodation. ^^

An absolutely beautiful town about an hour or so from Hammemet. There are so many shops and cafés and the view is out of this world. Yes there is a hard sell from the shop owners to by their goods, but remember this town relies on tourism. Having said that, they do like to Haggle, so it's worth stepping into each treasure trove as you are bound to come away with a bargain... or two! First times to the town, just a hint, say its not your first visit .. not that you're in any danger, it just seems to calm down the hard sell! Very friendly people in a country that's rich in culture. Beautiful!

Really beautiful at sunset time! Worth a visit if you are in Tunisia, it is accessible by taxi from Tunis centre and also very close by to historic Carthage.

Very beautiful and clean area that overlooks the coast. Had to stop at the entrance and walk up so we can enjoy the beautiful buildings and views. Careful, there are lots of scammers along the way that ask you if you would like to take pictures with the eagle.

One of the best areas I have visited in my life, it is where the mountains, forest and the sea meet, and it doesn't disappoint.

I loved everything, the signature white and blue colors are breathtaking, and the sea view was unmatched.

You should come prepared as you will do a lot of walking on steep roads, but it was well maintained and you will find something to take a picture with in every corner.

Sidi Bou Saïd is a gem. A place that is different from all other places in Tunisia, but not only in Tunisia. Already on the approach, we notice the enchanting atmosphere where white-blue houses and cobbled narrow streets open the artistic spirit in us and overwhelm us with wonderful feelings of satisfaction. That's why Sidi Bou Saïd has a reputation as a town of artists. Sidi Bou Saïd is named after a 13th-century Sufi saint Abu Said al-Baji, it was previously was small fisching village called Jabal el-Menar. Its distinctive architecture is a mix of the Ottoman and the Andalusian, a result of the influx of Spanish Muslims in the 16th century. For the French, the fishing village was a perfect depiction of the Orientalism romanticized by Europeans in the 19th century. Sidi Bou Saïd is a charming town on a promontory overlooking the Mediterranean, with al fresco cafes, Tunisian eateries, and small art galleries. One of the significant and beautiful places where artists, bohemians, painters, writers, actors, directors, poets, sculptors gladly gathered, socialized, exchanged views, messages, dreams and .........Their favorite meeting place was in Café des Nattes or Kahoua El Alia. A special place. Café des Nattes is one of the emblematic places of Sidi Bou Saïd that should not be missed because of its importance and its beauty. It is located in the very center of the city. Sitting on mats, smoking hookah and sipping mint tea and eating delicious cookies is how you experience Café des Nattes and Sidi Bou Saïd. The reputation of Café des Nattes comes from the beginning of the 20th century, when students and artists inhabited its terrace, several big names made it famous: Simone de Beauvoir, André Gide, Paul Klee, Johnny Hallyday, Georges Bernanos, french philosopher Michel Foucault to name just a few for examples. The Moorish style, with high stairs, white walls contrasting with the blue of the woodwork, in keeping with the rest of Sidi Bou Saïd, makes it a particularly pleasant place.

Beautiful traditional market street.
There were a lot of things to see and it was a good time to feel the lively market atmosphere. Some (Not all) shops will try to rip you off, so be careful.

A corner of Tunis that make you feel like your in Greece. Walking these streets is like stepping back in time . We got here about 2pm and it was really quiet not many people. Everywhere you look I saw a photo opp. As you keep going you begin to spot the sea through the streets then at bottom a great platform overlooking the Sea.
We stayed about 3 hours, as we were leaving it was getting crowded. Definitely worth a visit.

Sidi Bou Said is a picturesque village located just a short distance from Tunis, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The village is famous for its striking blue and white buildings, which line the narrow streets and offer stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. This unique geographic location thus resembles a similarity to that of Santorini in Greece.

The porcelain with intricate artworks & colourfulness automatically invites any traveler walking along Sidi Bou Said streets to visit souvenir shops. The streets are very crowded in the evening, but it is hard to find a soul early in the morning.

As a greek person visiting Sidi Bou Said, I can confirm it felt like I was on a greek island but an Arab-culture-inspired version. Super picturesque.

Excellent day trip would definitely recommend me and my family spent about 4 hours here wandering streets admiring first the architecture then as you keep going you end up with amazing see views and if you take it slow like we did you will find great view points that make for amazing photos, a bit like Greece. There are plenty of shops and a big market square selling all artisan souvenirs, bought some mosaics, plates and a ceramic number for our house back home. Some cafes for snacks and drinks which looked nice and clean . We arrived about 1:30 and it was very quiet but as we were leaving it did get quite busy. Also watch out for People with birds of prey they will get the bird to jump on your arm then they will ask for money. We politely said no and were left alone.
