Restaurant Dar Slah

This local restaurant is far more beyond expectation. A bit nestled in the medina quarter but worth it. It comes with a set menu. I really like the sweet pudding of ground pine seeds. The owner is also welcoming & explaining all the dishes in
the meantime.

A bit fancier Tunisian restaurant in the heart of the Medina (a little hard to find, but be on the lookout for a yellow sign and door). Servers speak English perfectly. I ordered the roasted lamb with potatoes which comes with a spread of starters including bread, soup, spring roll, mishwiyya (grilled salad), spinach w/chickpeas, and a sweet carrot dip. The starters were honestly so good and filling themselves. The main dish was pretty good too, especially the gravy/soup. My only complaint is that it took slightly long to get my order in and also to pay. Otherwise great restaurant!

Lovely staff, great food & location if you’re wandering around the souk - we’d definitely come back! Side note: only open for lunch, so check out the opening hours (12pm-3:30PM).

Highly recommend this place. Very friendly staff and delicious food. Some of us were vegan and the host happily accommodated and gave us the option of about 5 or so dishes that could be made vegan

Great meal, Great service. Salads were fresh and delicious. Purslane and harissa, omg that was divine. Simple salad was light and tasty. Okra and lamb was savory and not over spiced. Social dessert was delicate and a good finish to the fine dining experience

One of the best lamb coucous i’ve had in Tunisa. Definitely the best in the Medina. Very well seasoned favour of the lamb, perfectly cooked, very soft and tender. Higher recommended.

Great food in this neatly tucked away restaurant in the sprawling Medina of Tunis. Best of all, they adapted their menu offering to make it completely vegetarian, while still keeping the dishes delicious. Highly recommended!

Yummy food in Medina. Very clean and beautiful space. The quality of food is great and the quantity is generous. The price is very reasonable as well. The staff were very welcoming and very polite.
We ended our meal with a warm cup of tea.

Outstanding. If you are within 100km of Tunis then you need to go here. Fabulous Tunisian food (Very definitely not faux-french) beautifully prepared. And chef takes delight in explaining how they are prepared and challenging you to identify unfamiliar flavours: "can you guess? It's black pine nuts - only from cap Bon".

Not open in the evenings so make time in midday.

Delicious lunch menu for 30 dinars. A well-needed rest in the middle of the Medina. Will be back ! Thank you 😊

One of my favorite restaurants in Tunisia. We ordered couscous with lamb, roasted lamb, couscous with octopus and gumbo sauce. All dishes were amazing! I was delighted to have assida with zgougou for dessert. It was delicious.
Service was very good, people were very friendly and helpful to identify dishes spice levels.

I'm late writing this review but definitely wanted to make sure to do it because I really enjoyed my meal there as well as the hospitality of the server and owner. The restaurant is tucked away in the medina, which I loved, and the decor is traditional and very pleasing and calm. My meal was delicious and included a plate of tasty appetizers, all for a good price. The owner was very welcoming and kind, and we had a great conversation. I finished off my culinary experience with mint tea and a deliciousTunisian pudding for dessert. I will definitely return to Dar Slah if I visit Tunis again!

Friendly stuff and very clean.
I ordered (kousha) traditional menu, the menu includ the salad and tea.
The price is acceptable 28TND (around 11usd).
