Hat Wanakorn National Park

Personally, this park has taken me back down a memory lane of Thailand a decade or two ago. It is super peaceful, quiet, and not many tourists.

Most people who are camping and staying are small and big families of thais. It is honestly refreshing to see coming from big cities like Phuket, Bangkok or Chiang Mai.

The price of entry seems to be a topic of discussion here. In my opinion, it really isn’t overpriced even for foreigners (20b entry for a Thai and 100b for a foreigner). And to add to my point, camping is free of charge for as many days as you’d like unless you bring a big trailer or mobile home (200-400b per night).

I’ve been to national parks that would charge 200-600b entry per foreigner. So pretty grateful for the price here, knowing they could charge that much more but choose not to.

The national park is well-kept and all staffs are super friendly and welcoming. Probably because they are well-paid and well-cared for. The bathrooms are clean and the staff cleans them out multiple times a day. All the more reasons to pay the necessary costs for staying here.

There is a restaurant onsite that opens from 8am until 5pm and coffee shop with AC that opens from 7am until 4.30pm (the hours varies depending on staff seminars and holidays).

The campground is peaceful, shaded, and right on the beach. For those wondering about charging station, there is a charging station at the tourist center that you can use. There are also beach front houses available for rent as well. Price ranges from 700b per day and up.

A national park that does not try to rip you off because you're a tourist is great. There's a lovely bike trail through the forest. The bathrooms are clean. It's Aldo a great place to camp.

Sea water is near to camping area and water is clean.

A clean, quiet with camping sites and bungalows to put up the nights .
There’s also camping site; if you don’t your camping gear, just rent one set from the park office

There’s a nice place for snorkelling; unfortunately it’s not the time of the year for such activities

Wanakorn Park and beach is beautiful, but the islands are temporarily closed for three months in the off season.
There are clean public restrooms and great camping facilities. There are no surfboards or boogieboards for hire.

Hat Wanakorn National Park is located in the area of Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan District and Thap Sakae District, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. It was originally the Wang Duan Forest and Huai Yang National Reserved Forest. It is the location of Huai Sai Forest Park. Mueang Prachuap Khiri Khan District Huai Yang Forest Park Huai Yang Arboretum and Huai Yang Forestry Station Thap Sakae District Prachuap Khiri Khan Province Later, Huai Yang Forestry Station was disbanded. When the Forest Department had a policy to establish a national park Therefore, this area was transferred to the National Park Division to operate from fiscal year 1989 onwards  Hat Wanakorn National Park. Located on Phetkasem Road, approximately 23 kilometers from Prachuap Khiri Khan towards Thap Sakae District.

The beach is beautiful and it's one of the great campgrounds. The bathrooms are clean, the food is fresh and not expensive.

Very nice and peaceful place. You can rent a little lodge house (700-1000 baht for two a night) or camp here with your own or rent a tent. There are lots of bathrooms, showers, a restaurant, bicycle renting point and bird watching spots. The beach is very beautiful. You feel like you are meditating just by being there.

One of the best national park and campground I've ever visited. Nice view, easy access, not far from highway, beachfront, cafe and restaurant serves inside the national park. Walking and biking trails are nice. Cabin home and electric plug in for motorhome also available here. Good landscape, clean park and restrooms. Snorkeling tour also available here.

Beautiful beach and clean , You can camp here by your tent and they have rooms but you have to book before come 1/2 days , You can see a lot of birds here they have a joking way for birds watching 3 km.

Snorkeling was good, boat left 8.15 arrived khao Jan and khao Tailee 8.30, snorkeling​ for 1.5hrs total trip take appox 2.45 hrs. Non -​Thai 800thb. Thai 600 thb.

Place is nice for relaxation. Personal tents are better than staying at their guest houses, because they barely replace, wash or clean the linens especially the comforters.

Very beautiful beach, there are restaurant and cafe for eat and drink, so yummy. There have Snorkeling program for tourist.

Surprisingly calm and serene beach. The bicycle trail is really relaxing with birds chirping all around. You can also camp here and it seems to be pretty popular for campers

I pulled in here on my way to Chiang Mai to go for run on the nature trail. I didn’t realize there was a campground until I got here. Given that I have a tent in my trunk, I decided to stay the night. Great choice - the vube here is like a Buddhist meditation retreat. Everyone is quiet and peaceful. I slept well, ran and swam. Great coffee and food too!

Simply a very nice beach. Plenty space for camping.
