Wat Ao Noi

Beautiful temple located between 2 bays in Prachuab. The ordination hall is made from wood.

The wooden structure of the Wat is very special and beautiful. Great view in the beach with lots of fishing boats.

If you are there, consider to climb up the stairs to the cave. You get a great sea view on the way.

The Wat is around 6 km from Prachuap down town.

Beautiful place, located on the seafront, with rcdm Rybatskoe village. The temple is beautiful. Pleasant atmosphere, relaxing. Near the cave with the Buddha. And also at the entrance to the cave with the Buddha there is a small but very steep temple. It is very old and overgrown. And also it is covered with mother-of-pearl on top. Very cool place.

The temple was made me really wow wow wow with beautifully Teak Temple and amazing big Buddha in cave! Thanks little doggie to be my guide for this trip 🤣 I would recommend also easy to find and nice driving bike and you will see beautiful around you!!

New Ao Noi Temple: This is the large teak structure you’ll pass on the way to the parking area at the bottom of the hill. There’s some nice coloured murals inside which depict the life of the Buddha.

Beautiful teak temple with gorgeous teak wood construction and vivid friezes inside. Absolutely worth a visit if you're in the area. Peaceful place.

Great teak wood temple with beautiful carvings and snake dragon making a guard fence around. It's a new one build in this century.
Other temple is up the hill with cave with huge reclining buddha and other buddha statues. It's good view of Ao Noi (ao = bay) with nice scenery of scattered fishing boats.
Buy for 10 baht food to feed big catfish in the pond :-)

We enjoyed seeing the reclining Buddha in the caves. The climbing we enjoyed not so much but worthwhile. The temple is so beautiful and the carving amazing.

Opening hours 08:00-17:00, you're allowed to take pictures inside the temple.

Simply stunning, the craftsmanship is beautiful. The temple is made entirely of teak.
Be sure to make a stop here if on the way to the cave of the reclining Buddhas. Also be sure to visit the abandon seashell temple (on the stairs to the cave).

I found this temple beautiful. I love the wooden curvings and many paintings inside. Plus there's a cave nearby with laying Buddha up in the mountain from were you can admire the view. The complex with monks' houses is also interesting and on the back of it there's a cute little beach.
