It's an absolutely beautiful beach. You can rent beach chair for cheap and even order foods and drinks. The vendors will bring food and drinks to you. The price is VERY reasonable.
Most vendors closed at 6pm. We were here during weekdays, so not sure about weekends hours.

Beautiful and quiet place to visit while in Prachua Khiri Khan. Definitely do story by at Wing 5 Air Base Historic Park while in Ao Manoa.

During my two-week stay in Prachuap Khiri Khan, I made a daily visit to Ao Manao starting from around 9 am on the second day until just two days before my departure. Despite encountering rough seas and rising tides during the initial days, the area was quite pleasant overall. However, it's worth noting that in the days leading up to my departure, there was a noticeable increase in jellyfish presence, so caution was necessary.

The rental fee for a deck chair was 20 Baht per person. Typically, they set up two tables with six deck chairs each. As a solo visitor or with a companion, the arrangement might not always be appreciated by the beach attendants. It's advisable to consider ordering food and drinks from them as they primarily rely on this revenue, offering a 10% discount to encourage purchases. Otherwise, they might not be too pleased with patrons occupying the chairs without contributing to their business.

Instead of dining at the beach, I opted to eat at the nearby hawker center across the street every day. Some of the vendors served exceptionally tasty dishes at reasonable prices, often cheaper than those available at the beachfront eateries.

On a tip from a local, I discovered that sitting at the deck chairs near the Dolphin Statue resulted in fewer complaints from the attendants. Additionally, many foreigners frequented that area, creating a more comfortable atmosphere for visitors.

Beautiful beach. You can easily arrive there with a bycicle or scooter. Bring your ID to register at the entrance. Not very crowded when I was there. Sand is lovely. Beach is clean. You can go for long walks or enjoy the calm sea.

Great way to spend a day. A Royal Thai Air Force operated beach and tourist attraction. Just spend a few baht for a beach chair, some good food and refreshments. They'll even serve you your food, ice and beer as you relax by a beautiful wide beach enjoying the view.

The beach is beautiful, peaceful, clean, suitable for sitting and lying on beach chair. The beach chair fee is 20 baht.
It will be very hot at noon.
From 3pm to 4pm, there will be wind and it will begin to cool down.

Great spot. Very chill vibes with lots of food options but if you want food come on the weekend, most shops are closed during the week. Waters are very warm like a bath and the ocean is mostly calm. Can find a lot of amazing seashells and crabs of all sorts here. Even there are beautiful purple and green birds flying around. Endless photo opportunities as well.

Well, it's worth a visit if you like stunningly beautiful quiet beaches.
It's on an air base, so you need to bring your passport, but once you're in, you are free to drive about almost everywhere

What. A. Beach.
Just lovely - quiet, beautiful, clean. Deckchairs and a sun shade for 40 baht the day with drinks and food collected for you. Can't believe it's only 2 weeks ago we were there!

Such a precious find today, this is a beautiful and clean beach, my wife said years ago when she visited it was dirty perhaps due to oil spill nearby and there was no body, but today it is so clean and many western friends are here to enjoy this beautiful seaside. Definitely worth coming back and relax longer, we got a beach chair for 20baht per person, clean and good location. They serve food and drinks too. This beach is in Army camp, so we had to pass an army gate to get thru. There is a mini zoo and plenty of food places and toilet facilities

Magical and Idyllic location here at Manao bay ! Cooling breeze with slight white caps made for some fun in the sea and on beach. Lounge chairs, umbrellas, water toys along with attentive food service with delicious seafood. Arrived early afternoon and an enjoyable full day leaving at dusk. Beauty and the Beach !!! Favorite of ours, 3rd or 4th visit 🤔, will return many more times.

The sun chairs are 25 baht a day, but there's also space on the beach further away. Food is quite cheap. Come with a motorbike. The access is free, you register as the gate.

One of the beaches in Prachuap. The beach in Ao Manao (Lemon Bay) is the calmest. It is the spot for swimming in the ocean. It is open for public, but it belongs to Wing 5 - Thai Air Force. You have to go through the gate to the bay. The bay is well-maintained by the Air Force. They clean up the beaches and all every morning. There is no admission fee to enter. All vendors are either the soldier themselves or the family members. It is very safe for tourists. All prices are fair for all tourists.

There are the accommodation inside the base for public, but the accommodation does not allow pets. So we stayed at the closets one outside the gate.

The photo for this review is along the way from a mile outside the gate to the bay around 6-8am. It is gorgeous.

When you drive through the gate, you will see an army on duty. Drive slowly. Lower the window for him to see the driver. The gate opens from 8-8. Outside hours, go around the wall. But if you stay at the accommodation inside the base, let them know and they will let you through.

Super nice beach to visit, the sea water is also clean for swimming. If you don't want to pay for the sit just walk to the end of the tanks and you can sit under the big tree to enjoy the sunshine or swimming.

Lovely, family-friendly beach. The water is quite shallow so it's suitable for children. The beach is completely encompassed by the air-force base, but it's open to the public. There are a lot of restaurants here, as well as outdoor activities such as archery, bicycle hire and golf. It's a great place to go cycling early morning while the air is cool. The mountain at the northern end of Ao Manao has glass-eye monkeys which are quite cute. The public are allowed onto this part of the base at certain times of the week. These monkeys are not like the usual monkeys in Thailand and can be fed by hand. The same location is the start of a path to the top of the mountain - though I understand that it might be closed at the moment.

Relaxing tranquil beach with beautiful cove views. Go to the far end (quiet) away from the touristy beach chairs for rent.
