Don Wai Floating Market

A large fresh produce and cooked food market against the river. It's much bigger inside than assumed from outside. It is most definitely worth a visit if you are nearby. There is ample parking. Come early to avoid midday heat. There are many restaurants against the waters edge, not visible from the road.

It's a great weekend spent here. The floating 🛟 boats and market is amazing for tourists. It has beautiful and amazing views on either side of the river. Lots of vegetables. Lots of fish 🐠🐟 in the river.

The market is characterized by a real Thai feeling of life, there are few foreign tourists, the hustle and bustle and the atmosphere of the place are fantastic! Worth a visit

It's a recommended place because there are places to visit, photography spots, restaurants, souvenirs, and the food and desserts are also very delicious. I've been there a long time ago, but I'm still interested in it. I still like it. I'm quite impressed with this place. If I have the opportunity, I would like to go to this place again. I'd like to recommend it again for anyone who hasn't been there yet and is thinking about it. I'd say it's worth the time. Highly recommended.

Didn’t know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Feels very local, no one was pushy trying to sell me anything. Pretty cool experience off the beaten track.

It’s a great location to come and spend your time with your family. It’s just 1 hour driving from Bangkok. You will enjoy eating foods beside the river. You can feed fish from the table that you sit in the restaurant. Plus, you can buy fruits, foods, vegetables, trees and things in the market after meal. They are fresh, beautiful and fresh. The price is so cheap.

If you miss the old days and want to touch and feel the Thai tradition style, you should not miss this place.

Best time to be there is on a weekday, early morning! Lots of variety and very fresh products! Restaurants on the floating market are on the river bank, good choices on the menu at reasonable prices!

Despite the name, the market is not floating and no sellers ride boats to sell things. However, it’s a great fresh market with mostly locals and only an hour drive from Bangkok. Inside the market, please mind your head because the ceiling is very low and walkway is very narrow. There are plenty of local food, fresh fruits and veggies, and snacks with affordable price. They also sell tickets for you to ride boat and do the sightseeing by the river. A great getaway if you like the local vibe and Thai food.

A large gigantuan riverside market selling vast varieties of Thai local cuisines both sweets and savory dishes. You can find pretty much everything here ranging from fresh produces, salted and thousand year eggs, to grill river prawns and roasted scallops to japanese milk bread and stuffed fried wonton appertizers. The duck noodle shops here are very famous and absolutely a must try menu. Bakery and dessert shops are also offering rare, very authentic and very tasty dishes. The food is relatively cheap here and they are absolutely delicious. If you are looking for unique flavors and worthiness. This is absolutely the place for you.

Parking space is a limit despite the fact that it is gigantic. There are always packs of people here in the market.

The market may be hot during the summer as it is not air conditioned for most parts. However, ventilation is not that bad.

Super cheap local Thai food with high quality. The real Thai way of life. Don't forget to take the boat tour once you visit this market. Highly recommended. I love Thailand.

You can buy very delicious, variety and cheap fruits & foods at Don Wai Floating Market such as stuffed chicken wings, pot-stewed dugs
etc. You can join sightseeing boat along the Tha Chin River at 10 AM. which it took 2 hours.

Beautiful place near by Bangkok. If you're sick of city vibe or boring chain stores, you'd better hit this place. It takes 40mins by taxi from city center. Not only local market place but also you can feel exotic combination of Thai and Chinese culture.

Awesome place to get vegetables, fruits, desserts, and various foods at a great price. Pretty neat too by the river. Little warm though walking down narrow aisles with many folks.

There were many foods there. The duck menu was excellent. There were many parking places for lots of cars even though you have to pay parking fee.
