Cute and traditional. This was my first experience of going to a Thai floating market. The boat sellers are beautifully dressed. The floating market is small but also includes a section on the land. There were a few live performances which made the experience even more enjoyable. It was a short Grab ride away from our hotel but I truly recommend it. In my humble opinion, this is a must see in Hatyai.

We arrived around 5. This is certainly a tourist spot. The beef intestine soup is good and recommended to try. There are other stalls other than the ones floating along the river. Price is not pricey and food is worth the money.

Floting market in hatyai . Highly recommended. We have visited hatyai 4-5 times before but only manage to visit this market on this visit .

Location : this market is located about 30 min from hatyai city center . You can either take tuk tuk or drive to this place .

Parking : there are 2 parking location for this market. One is inside a Buddhist temple compound where you need to pay 20 bath and another one is open car park( free) . Both this car park is located in opposite side of the bank . In both car park there will be guide to help
you to park the car .

Items : there are many many stalls selling food , snacks , drinks , cloth and souvenir items. The food price are reasonable and cheap . Most of the the cloth item are not priced so I can't comment on that .

Food : we tried many snack especially from the floating boat . Most of the food are nice. However the food sold in the stalls are not tasty.

Money changer : there are a money changer at the information counter . The exchange rate is quite good compared to malaysia . We got 7.3 in Malaysia and 7.45 there .

You can easily spend about 1-2hr here . Nice place to walk and explore . Please come in the afternoon when the weather is more pleasant

This place is only open from Friday to Sunday only

This floating market only opens during weekend only. Start from 1pm till night. Recommended to go at 1-2pm as less people & not crowded. The handmade bag is so cheap so recommended to buy for souvenirs. Blouses also cheap. For the first timer to Hatyai, this floating market is considered as one of the must-go places.

It open at weekend from 2 pm.
The market is nice. They are selling various of food, like your typical night bazaar.

Start from Tom yum Kung, fried sea food, fried chicken, mango sticky rice, coconut ice cream, etc.

Price is reasonable but they only accept cash so prepare plenty of cash, around 1000 Baht should be more than enough.

If you are concerning about halal, try to look thr seller that are using Hijab (head cover) as that indicates that she is a Muslim.

I heard there is also a non halal section that sells roasted pork, lizard and others extreme culinary, but I did not go to that section.

Parking spot is wide, so you don't have to worry. Mosque and free toilet is also available.

Must visit spot located outside Hatyai city centre. About 10-15 minutes drive from Lee Garden Night Market. Best visited during sunset hours as you get to witness daylight and night time view. Upon arrival, barely saw any car park so we randomly parked at roadside under dimmer street light.

What's interesting here ? An eye catchy Instagramable view of parked flat-bottomed wooden boats. Spooky yet edible insects. Halal food vendors. Beverages in presentable bamboo cups. Cheap wearable accessories.

Since it's halal food vendors, not just Muslims but people who don't like food with porky ingredients may come here. Food items here are sold at reasonable pricing. There were repeating boat vendors selling same food items, probably for customer ease during peak season. The dehydrated fruits & vegetables chips were sold at reasonable price. We bought a packed of dried anchovies for a good price.

One of the best we had here was irreplaceable. Maggi Kerabu I guess. Local Thai brand instant noodles was used for the cooking, then the young Thai lady generously added these ingredients like mushroom, fungus, crabstick, mussels, prawns, squid, green mustard, and cabbage, stirred in a pan with six different added sauces. Mixture of sauces very spicy and addictive.

We sat on floor right infront of the boat vendors and had that bowl of goodness like a local. That feels good.

Live dance and music shows are conducted, probably during weekends or peak season. Most of the Malay tourist were vibing and dancing alongside.

Small market where traders sell their food on boats parked alongside the river banks. They selling a big variety of local Thai food and snacks

This floating market is not open every day, only open on weekends, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Make sure you bring enough money because money exchange rate quite expensive.

A must-visit location that is really interesting. Most of the sellers are quite amiable and fluent in several languages, particularly Malay. Additionally, the food is affordable and delicious. Visitors have the chance to taste a range of cuisine from different Southeast Asian nations. If you're visiting Thailand for the first time, be sure to pack extra cash because there is a lot to try.

Wonderful floating boats which had been converted into shops@markets selling wet groceries, fruits & foods. Upon arriving at the floating market, don't forget to climb those staircases at the side, reaching to it's food paradise located at the top of the floating market which also is a paradise selling foods that you'd be craving for & there's also stools, tables and canopies being prepared for large amount families to be seated. I enjoyed the whole day and night across the Floating Market, It was so much fun. Most probably for all those who are planning to travel to Thailand. Don't forget to visit Khlong Hae Floating Market once you reach Hatyai.

Have been to Hatyai several times, Khlong Hae Floating Market is one of the places tourists must visit. The market offers a vibrant experience with its lively atmosphere, diverse food stalls, and boat vendors selling a variety of goods.

The market also provides a glimpse into local culture and cuisine, making it a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Thai experience.

As a fellow Malaysian visiting Thailand, I always say “Sawasdee Kap!”, a polite greeting and a friendly way to acknowledge locals and immerse yourself in the Thai culture 😎
