As a Malaysian, best spot to purchase edible souvenirs. Especially dehydrated fruits & vegetables snacking, pistachios, almonds and other similar nuts. Most of the vendors speak and do understand Malay language. A must visit spot in Hatyai.

Kim Yong Market is a large and busy market located in Hat Yai, Thailand. It is a popular place to shop for souvenirs, clothes, food, and electronics. The market is divided into two sections: the wet market and the dry market.

The wet market is located on the ground floor and sells fresh produce, seafood, meat, and poultry. The dry market is located on the upper floor and sells clothes, souvenirs, electronics, and food.

Kim Yong Market is a great place to find cheap souvenirs and clothes. However, the prices are not always the lowest, so it is important to bargain. The market is also a good place to find imported snacks and dried fruits.

Here is my review of Kim Yong Market based on the reviews I have read:

* **Pros:**
* Wide variety of goods for sale
* Cheap prices (if you bargain)
* Good place to find souvenirs and clothes
* Open late
* **Cons:**
* Can be crowded and chaotic
* Not always the lowest prices
* Some vendors may be pushy

Overall, I would give Kim Yong Market a 3 out of 5 stars. It is a good place to find cheap souvenirs and clothes, but it is not the most organized or tourist-friendly market.

Here are some tips for visiting Kim Yong Market:

* Go early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
* Be prepared to bargain.
* Bring cash, as not all vendors accept credit cards.
* Be aware of your surroundings and keep your belongings close.

I hope this helps!

Super touristy market that caters to mostly Malaysian taste buds. Think of it as your local wet market with Thai language and you’ll get this Kim Yong market. Not that there’s anything wrong with it.

Tourists attraction. A place where they sells peanuts, clothing, fresh fruits and Veggies, there are halal food as well.
But if you walk with man, and you are a woman, you will be invisible to each and every stall. They will not be able to see you. All you can hear is a abeyyyy, maghi singgah bey, bey, bey bey here and there. Not a chance they will call you akak. 🤣

Lively morning market with so many things to buy.
If you wan to buy nuts, dried fruits and snacks, head into the Kim Yong Complex to get the best prices. Sellers can speak mandarin or Malay so easy to ask prices. Many are friendly.
I got quoted

This is an excellent place for dried nuts and fruits and any snack that you might fancy. I stayed clear of the imported stuff and just stuck to the local stuff which are super affordable and fresh.

Some of the vendors here can be a bit coercive as the competition for clientele is rather fierce here. However, I was lucky enough to find a really nice vendor who isn’t pushy and lets me sample everything and allows me to take my time with choosing stuff.

The place is rather cramped and extremely humid and hot inside. Wouldn’t recommend for those who have mobility issues or young children.

Nice market to visit and shop.

Some prices are more affordable then even some "local supplier" markets and stalls outside.

Got lots of stuff to buy and eat...

The fresh smoothies, mango sticky rice and other street foods are delicious.

Must visit when in Hatyai.

This market was packed on a Saturday morning. For a general orientation, fruit vendors are along the south and east sides, on the street outside of the market. The smell of roasting chestnuts here is incredible. On the ground floor you will mostly find clothing, shoes, and snacks of all kinds. The upper floor is mostly vacant, although this is where the electronics are found, along with a few perfume shops.

An old style market that sells everything under one roof. We came here to buy cashew nuts, tidbits, jelly gummies, sweets and souvenirs. Need to round first to get the cheapest vendor. Bargain if possible. Everyone were friendly and smiling. So Thailand.

A market you can find fresh fruits, chickens, fishes, dried nuts, kitchen utensils, toys, candies, shirts, cover (Sarung). I have found a hidden gem place for noodles and good iced Thai milk tea. It's somewhere near New Kim Yong. Highly recommend their noodles
