Polo Fried Chicken (Soi Polo)

I finally had the chance to eat what is known as the best fried chicken in Bangkok. It is interesting to eat different versions of fried chicken. There isn’t any breading on the chicken so the texture is different than the American version. The dark meat is very good while some of the white meat were moist and some were a bit dry. The sauces and fried garlic are the perfect accompaniments to the fried chicken. It is best to have it with a papaya salad.

There are two areas to sit. One is air conditioned and the other is a larger space where there are fans which is also where they prepare the food.

It's a very famous chicken restaurant in Bangkok, but I couldn't go on a trip to Bangkok two years ago, so I thought I should take the time to visit this time.
I visited around 11 a.m., and there were already many customers on the table. It was really delicious to eat fried chicken while only eating grilled jars.
The children also ate it well, saying it was much better than expected.
Adults also ate it with garlic, whether it was fried shallot. My family ate 1 chicken, 3 sticky rice, and somtam, and 2 adults and 2 children ate almost all of it.
And it's divided between where the air conditioner comes out and where the air conditioner doesn't.
The staff were all friendly and they were nice.

One of my favourite fried chicken for years. Few months ago I was using food delivery and kinda disappointed. So this time I came again to the restaurant.

Lucky I came before lunch time, so we get the table while many already reserved .

Just order 1 big portion of fried chicken and I suppose to add extra fried onions . That's enough to make me happy.

Juicy fried chicken with Michelin award that wort trying. They have 2 locations just 20 meter apart and if you are lucky you can get the one with air conditioner as the weather gets hot during lunch time. Packed with both the locals and tourist.

Fantastic fried chicken. The chicken is not breaded, so it is less greasy/oily than many prefer. But it is still juicy, even in the leaner parts of the bird. The fried garlic that tops it adds a savoury crunch, and there are plenty of aromatic dips to accompany it.

Pair it with somtam and sticky rice. The restaurant has an extensive menu and service is fast.

Food was absolutely delicious - we got the fried chicken (half), grilled pork neck, papaya salad with boiled shrimp and fern salad with shrimp. Shrimp tasted fresh and all meat were cooked very well.

I had my dinner once here during my stay in Bangkok. The fried chicken definitely lives up to the hype. From the looks of it they marinated it very well, making the meat tastes flavorful.

I had other dishes as well and they were okay, but to be frank, the fried chicken is still the star of the show.

Restaurant was quite packed during my visit, however, they managed customers pretty efficiently. I waited 15 minutes to get a table for 8 people. If folks want to give this restaurant a go I suggest to keep the possibility of queueing in mind.

I also appreciate how the provide clean toilets in this restaurants :)

Authentic Thai restaurant. Tasty and clean.
The stuff were friendly to little children.
Remember not to order too much rice. Cendol is a nice touch to this lovely meal.

Located not far from Lumpini Park and embassies. Recognized by with Michelin and many more standards. Fried chicken is the must.

You should try this once in a life when you visit Bangkok. The chicken is juicy, smell good and yummy.

Quite crowded but you don't need to queue. They also serve other menu like salad, pork and soft drinks.

Best fried chicken in all of Bangkok - crunchy, extremely moist, flavorful, and extremely fresh. I think I went to at least 30 different restaurants here, but this was the very best friend chicken at a very reasonable price. The papaya salad was also very delicious - salty, sweet, and very flavorful and crunchy. Amazing!

The chicken is very good!!! You can order a whole chicken or half. It’s savoury and crispy. The staff were also very helpful. The place is simple, i think there are no air con there. I went there on Thursday and there is no queue. Definitely would come back if I visit bangkok. The price were also good and cheap.

The fried chicken was so juicy and tender and they serve you so quickly. The serving of the chicken was so good and the quality of it is there as well.

The chicken breast that are usually tough was so tender and cooking to perfection with the crispy crispy beside it. AHHHH

The fish cake was meh… will try ordering the pork next time.

The price as well, it was reasonable.

Local restaurants. I've been their customer over 15 years. Good taste adjustable to foreign customer who cannot eat spicy 🔥. I think now foreign customer is more than local. Food served quite fast no wait long time. limited parking

Well-deserved Michelin award for the best fried chicken we’ve tasted in Bangkok! I wish we could’ve ordered more. It was savory and the taste was superb! If I could go back to Bangkok, I will definitely order more!

Bookmarked! Chicken fried tender seasoned with garlic flakes, served in this rustic corner of Bangkok. Simple yet totally satisfying. Goes at THB130 for half chicken and THB260 for the whole.

Only a few tables on site so take-away is a good idea, esp when parking is non existent (located on a narrow alley).

Lived up to its hype! Their fried chicken was so tender while being crunchy outside. Grilled pork neck was good as well. Service was quick & efficient. And price-wise, it’s really really affordable as compared to other Michelin starred resto! Yum
