A wonderful park in a great location near the city center. It's easy to get to, even from further away, and it's always clean, pleasant, and relaxing. It's also fascinating to see the wildlife living there among the people. And best of all, it's completely free! I love visiting to relax and have a picnic.

I had a hard time adjusting to the climate. I could have appreciated this place more. It's a lovely park for earthing, getting some sun, or simply walking around. I loved the lizards and pigeons that greeted me as I entered the park. It also has an air-conditioned library in case it gets too hot outside.

Cat paradise! Bring a bag of cat food for them as most of them are rather skinny. Friendly felines that let you pet them, one even climbed onto my lap bag!

Park was nice, full of greenery and fresh air. Best to come early morning or late evening when it's not that hot.

BEWARE of land monitor lizards as they are sneaky and super quiet. Crows too.

Lumphini Park has been a priority on my itinerary since the early stages of planning. City parks always hold a special appeal for me. Located in the heart of Bangkok, Lumphini Park is a serene oasis that offers a welcome escape from a bustling city like Bangkok.
The park is impeccably maintained, boasting abundant greenery, a lake, and a range of recreational facilities. It's a delightful sight to witness both locals and tourists engaging in leisurely strolls or invigorating jogs against this natural backdrop.
One charming aspect that caught my attention was the presence of numerous cats—wandering, yearning, and peacefully napping at nearly every corner of the park. Their presence adds a unique and endearing touch to the overall atmosphere.
While Lumphini Park may not rival the vastness of Central Park, its decent size ensures that you can always discover a quiet spot to unwind and escape the city's hustle. The park's dimensions strike a balance, offering a peaceful retreat without being overwhelming.

Lovely peaceful park within the busy Bangkok city. No dogs allowed. Lots of people exercising and enjoying the park. Bathrooms, small little shop and a few food carts. Some bike riders go a little too fast so just becareful near the bike path.

If you still have some time in Bangkok and don't know what to do, so go in this park. It is not that far away and there is really nice, clean, free entry and you can also borrow a water bike for free. Nature is great and everywhere are asian water monitor. You will definitely relax there as it is not even full of people. 🙂

I like this park. For my it’s like a Central Park in New-York but Asian style. Beautiful views everywhere. Good for chilling, dancing, running, walking or picnic area.

Peace and tranquility in the center of Bangkok. Excellent walking running and bicycling paths. Workout areas with free weights.

Bonus: Cats everywhere! Be on the lookout for Ross the cat. Minor celebrity. His pin and hang out area are also on Google maps.

Great place to come to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Can watch the huge lizards walking around.
Also, there are outside gyms that you can use.
Great place to come and spend a few hours exploring.

It is a shady city park with a chill atmosphere, suitable for jogging in the morning and evening. In the park, cycling is only allowed at certain times. The spacious and various sports fields here are suitable for tourists as well.

We were there for few hours to find monitor lizards. We count 11. There is very sunny area. It’s good to see some greens in concrete jungle, even if trees and grass are dried. If you want to see more green, 15 minutes by walk is another park with moooore green - it names Benjakitti/Benchakitti.

A park at the heart of Bangkok. Many activities for you await here like running, yoga, aerobic, spinning duck boat, picnic, finding exotic animals, getting fresh by looking at trees, etc. Sometimes there’re free events that you can join like Symphony Orchestra.

A large park where you can walk around and explore between the trees to find memorials and statues. It's a popular place for people to come and relax or exercise. You can see animals like water monitors and turtles. They have swan pedal boats you can rent to go out on the lake. Easiest way to get here is to go to MRT Silom station.

What a treasure in amongst this crazy vibrant city, Bangkok. You must visit Lumphini Park if you ever come to Bangkok. Beautiful, well kept Park to stroll in and just enjoy the beauty of nature. Awesome to see the monitor lizards too and a variety of birds and even some very friendly and super content cats. You can even take a free ride on one of the Swan paddle boats or kayaks which is so cool! A couple of small shops at either end of the park that sell drinks and food also. We will definitely visit again 😊

Going to parks when you are travelling to foreign cities is definitively underrated! I had such a good time walking around or relaxing on a bench reading a bit.
This park has everything one needs!

It's magical here in the early morning hours as the park is filled with runners and walkers trying to get their work in before it gets too hot. Monitor lizards are an added bonus. I found a great route that takes you on an overpass to Benjakitti Park, which is great for longer runs.

Gorgeous park. Recommend reading Backpacker Bob's guide to the place. Clean, free toilets. Great place to picnic, or just kill time.

Nice huge public park. There are many areas. Children's playground. Adult exercise stations. Running paths. Food court. Public library. And surprisingly, there are lakes with free paddle boats. The lakes have lots of fish and resident water lizards. Not everything is in top condition though. Can get to the park by underground path from the MRT. Easy and safe.

Beautiful green space. There’s a festival in the making there so some of the areas were closed off for renovations. Too bad, I will not be in Bangkok when the festival takes place. It must be just as beautiful at night with all the string lights on the big trees. Lots of people walk through, picnic, paddle boating, running, and simply just taking in the view.
