BAAN BAAN BANG KACHAO

This is a local Thai hot spot so might be difficult to find. It's down s couple of side streets but when you arrive you are greeted to a cute wooden restaurant in the middle of the jungle. Upon climbing the stairs and passing the kitchen you get a spectacular view of the Chao Praya River. You can sit and enjoy the boats passing by, and coolness of being by the river. The menu has lots of choice including some Northern Thai classics. You can ask for vegetarian, the veggie Tom Tum was delicious. It's also worth trying the Thai sweets (khanom) as they were delicious too.

When I go I don't know this restaurant before just following the sign, it's quiet far from the main road but I'm really surprise food is good 👍 service is good I'm sure I'll be back here again

The restaurant was good atmosphere close by the river.

Food: Good quality look really good and tasty with all orders that we did. The service was great with attention as we went there during weekdays. We like the beef fridge 😋 if was amazing touch

Location: The way to get in here quite local and away from main road a lot. Day time was food but night time quite Challenge.

Definitely recommendable! Often overlooked, this part of Bangkok is a green lung with an atmosphere that transports you back decades. No skyscrapers, but still a lot of traffic on the main street. But when you turn to the restaurant, it gets lonely. You come directly to the Chao Praya River and sit in the middle of nature! If it's not that busy, you can park right in front of the door, otherwise it's about 200 m away. Can't believe you're in the big city of Bangkok! The view is great - the river and lots of greenery all around. The charming restaurant is simple, but lovingly and originally designed. The authentic Thai cuisine is excellent and very reasonably priced. You will be served quickly and friendly. We will come back for sure!

You hit a small dirt road, but you are on your way to very tasty food. I have never before tasted dishes like this, so full of flavors! Amazing prices, fresh ingredients and very friendly staff… what else can you ask for!

This place is really a hidden restaurant where we can enjoy river view. A bit deep from main road but they have English menu and they are local food. 😁👍

Alternative, peaceful, great LOCAL food, respectful service. We had sun dried pork (moo dadiaow) and pad kra paow gai (spicy fried chicken with basil leaves). Nice view of the river and jungle trees around you. A great experience not far from Bangkok. Recommended !!! (Of the beaten track)

Great views by Chao Phraya, quiet, not too crowded. Lots of greens, soothing for the eyes. Great comfort meals at affordable prices. Recommended.

Great food, nice atmosphere, quick service, and greenery all around. Not too far from the center of Bangkok but you feel you’re very far away from the hustle and bustle.

Nice peaceful place for dining, they offer several kinds of Thai Northern style dishes.

The restaurant is by the river.There's an outdoor section and also an air-con section. I would say it is a place to sit, eat, and chill out...around sunset ? The menu is extensive, have good coffee.

This is a very good place for your dinner with great river panorama view and nature decorations. The food have good local taste with a reasonable price.

Great place, you are in Bangkok, but you dent feel it, it's like holiday, great food nice and place to sit, friendly staff. Love this place.

A hidden gem! Right on the river lies this tiny elevated Cafe’. The
pleasant view, delicious choices of Northern Thai food tastefully presented at reasonable prices, and the jungle setting make this a place to seek out! Oh, they rent out bicycles in this area that will make you forget you are in Bangkok!
