Nice summit to visit. We were able to climb with Honda 155cc, not easy ride but if you’re experienced driver - you can. 2 people on the bike, couple of steep places passenger walk up. I would consider this uphill road more difficult than Duean, try it first before going up here.
The road is 20% concrete plates and rest is just regular unpaved road.

The best place to watch sunset. Don’t forget to take photos with Laos and Thailand milestones because it exists at the border.

What an amazing breath taking place to sit and view when you reach the top. The pictures don't do it justice but let me reassure you if you have time then make a plan and enjoy the views and hike sadly only 2days here.

You will 100 percent need to get a 4x4 unless your a extreme climber. At the bottom of the road there is a sign with 2 contact numbers on so call in advance if you want to do morning as I found with bad weather no one was around.

Only 500 baht for 2 people maybe more in high season and the local drivers wait for you.

Very helpful people.

Amazing spot and breathtaking view! I would say even better than Phu Chi Fa. It was very rainy evening and night, but we still drove to the entrance around 6am to see the sunrise. The drivers with trucks said it’s too slippery to drive up and they won’t take us before it gets lighter. We decided to walk up – it’s about 3km and it took us around 50min. We got there around 7:30am, It was clear up there (cloudy around the entrance point) and we saw the sun. the clouds between the mountains and below us made the view even more fantastic. Totally worth the hike. We were the only ones up there. We got the truck back which felt like blessing, as it seemed more difficult to walk down.

Probably the best view point out of all in that area. The 4 by 4 pickups would wait for the entire group at the base. So you can't take your own time and enjoy the view. I would have loved to spent more time at the view point. I went at around 4pm and nearly missed the sunset because part of our group already went down.

This is a "must visit" place for any tourist visiting Chiang Rai province. Such a scenic, unbelievable view you will remember. I want to come back and experience it again.
Tourists, be aware of leeches, I recommend to wear long white socks to see them well before they start doing their stuff, there are lots of them around.

Good for view the sunrise 🌅
Local service requires for cap service to take you up here.

Walk on slope around 15-20 min to the top of this mountain.
You can choose between left or right to view the sunrise.

Have a toilet only at Car park.
Recommend to wear good sandal or sneaker that suitable.

This is my third time visiting this scenic sight. If you prefer less crowd, I recommend exploring this peak. There are many peaks to observe in this area and Phu Chi Dao is the known for its pointie peak. The sunrise and sunset are breathtaking, worth the time to discover. CAUTION: Do not attempt to climb up the hill there by yourself. The road to this peak needs local expert drivers to take you up there. The fee is only 100 baht per person, round-trip.

One of the best view point in Chiang Rai. Spiky shape peak makes it distinctive from other mountain. Take 4wd service truck from base for 3km rough ride then walk another 300m steep trail but the view is worth every steps. Best time to arrive is before sunrise cause you can see the sea of cloud flowing just above the landscape everywhere but it also great for sunset as it’s 360 degree view.

Along with Phu Chi Fa, this is one of highlights in Chiang Rai.
You can walk on the ridge of the mountains to the summit and view from the summit is superb and breathtaking looking over Thai and Lao mountains.
If you would like to experience the greatness of nature in Northern Thailand, either Phu Chi Dao or Phu Chi Fa should be on the list.
To climb to the summit and enjoy the trekking and views, 1.5 to 2 hours should be reserved.

Definitely worth a visit and worth money spending for 4wd up here! Even we walked up during day time, no sunrise or sunset, the view is still so pretty.

Whao!!! The way to go up hill is the way too steep. Really worth it to hire a pickup to get up to the top..

The view is very stunning even though it was too foggy.

The best place to visit in Chiang rai!! It is a fun trek of around 3.5 km from which you can cover 3 km by a car( you have to hire a ride/500 baht) that will feel like a mountain safari and after that a 500 meter walk majorly easy steps that will take you to the beautiful view. I personally found this place more Adventurous and entertaining than phi chi fa, locals are really helpful too.

Sea of mist at Phi Chi Dao, Chiang Rai
Stunning viewpoint at the border of Thailand and Laos, took 10 minutes by villagers’ pick-up car and 20 minutes hiking with a bit steep

The way up to the top is bit difficult, but it is worth the climb. You have to hire a cab for sure. They will stop after about 3 kms going up the hill and then you have to walk about 15-25 minutes. The sunrise on the top is so beautiful. It’s exactly as you see on photos.

Highly recommended to see cloud ocean especially on winter. You need 4WD to go up there but surely worth to wait for sunrise.

It's a recommended place to visit. Just park at the village and hire a four wheel drive truck to the mountain since the place is very difficult to drive by yourself. The scenery area on the top is more beautiful than Phu Chi Fa.

I really liked this one out of all 5 summit ridges I visited. It has a good view of the famous cliff in the distance.
