Chong Yen

Stayed here for two nights and the weather is cool. Foggy morning on the second day and thunderstorm on the second night. Dont forget to bring water, own food and most importantly, insect repelant. I love the place, went to every viewpoints and thay are all awesome. Nice and well maintained road. Gonna be back here soon with my motorbike.

A nice looking high elevation campsite. There are some rooms and a coffee shop (though it was not open on my visit). The camp sites are pretty close so that could be an issue.

cool all year round The view is beautiful, suitable for camping and sleeping under the stars. No food sold at the top, must be purchased first. The road is not difficult, the sedan can drive up the road is not very steep.

Accessible via car/bike, quite cold all year round, day through the night. Very happy to be here again 😊

Chong Yen or "Cold Pass" is one ofvthe most amazing place in Thailand.

This park has 3 tiers of campsites. Entrance then half way up and then at summit. The road to the top is steep and windy but accessible in a 2 wheel drive.
You can rent camping equipment.
Eatery on the entrance level has OK Thai standards.
There are cabins for rent too.... very basic but clean with a toilet block nearby.
Stunning views on the way to the top and plenty of nature trails.
A very accessible park, entrance fee at time of writing was 200 baht each for foreigners, 60 baht for car, 20 baht for Thai citizens

Very very nice place up in the mountains, we in mid December it was 10'C and 7'C in the early morning, no not water or electricity, no mobile signal, just you and the mature, if you staying overnight bring food to cook or ready to eat meal, you can rent a charcoal grill from forest ranger office, room and tent can be rent in advance, 0.5km hiking up to the mountains will bring 360 view of surrounding area
