Krasiao Dam

Whilst visiting the River kwai, Kanchanaburi or other neighbouring areas it is definitely worth to make a stop at this Krasiao Dam, built in 1980 and the biggest earthen dam in Thailand. The entrance, road and area around the dam is amazingly well maintained. It is one lush garden, the road is majestically decorated with lanterns and on top of each of them is an elephant sculpture. Absolutely brilliant

A 4.2km dam that you can walk or ride bikes along. There were some golf cats also but we chose to ride bikes. 8.4km to go and come back so take hats or Sun cream if you plan the full length!
Lucky enough to see raptors catching fish very close.

A nice lake. Long dam. Can rent bycicles and take a tour on a electrical golfcar. A nice view point overseeing the landscape
