A beautiful area with great diving. Richelieu rock is fantastic, hundreds of schooling fish. The water is really clear and really warm. End February average water temperate was about 29 degrees . The limestone rocks are an impressive site and the sunsets and sunrises are something special

Scuba diving at the Similan Islands was an unforgettable experience, especially as it marked my second journey into these vibrant underwater realms.

The highlight, without a doubt, was Richelieu Rock. This spectacular dive site, known for its stunning purple corals, teems with an incredible variety of marine life, from tiny, vivid nudibranchs to majestic whale sharks (if you’re lucky enough to see one- I was not) .

The visibility was great considering it had been terrible the previous week allowing for breathtaking views of the underwater landscapes and their inhabitants.

The dive guides from west coast divers were knowledgeable and ensured our adventure was both safe and exhilarating.

For anyone considering a dive trip, Richelieu Rock at the Similan Islands should be at the top of your list. Its unique biodiversity and stunning beauty make it a must-do for beginners and experienced divers alike.

This experience has not only deepened my passion for scuba diving but also left me with memories that will last a lifetime.

wonderful cluster of islands with thriving marine wildlife. had a nice lunch with native birds and animals roaming around. a little too touristy but that’s understandable.

park closest for a period of time every year for revitalization of wildlife.

really beautiful snorkeling spot! with the right amount of luck you’ll be able to spot massive turtles swimming around.

Ah, the Similans... a great spot for diving but unfortunately getting very crowded indeed. The few beaches are now visited by tens of day boats, depositing hundreds of toursist for the day... not exactly the isolated tropical hide-away it used to be.
If you go, stay on a live-aboard charter and spend a few days & nights on the places not frequented by the day boats, an altogether much better experience.

Lovely islands to visit. The turquoise color water and soft sand are really wonderful.. it’s crowded beach so might difficult to have chill afternoon but the water is lovely to have fun for kids and adults.

All the sights and scenery were simply unforgettable. The experience from arrival to departure was just surreal - all the beaches were pristine the waters were absolutely crystal clear. Every corner I turned presented a castaway as well as post-card worthy scene, and I just couldn't help but marvel at all the stunning surroundings from the beautiful shades of blues and fine powdery sands to lush jungles and photogenic coastal rocks. Snorkeling was also marvelous, seeing all the colorful fishes and other marine life varieties. To summarise shortly, a trip to the Similan Islands is simply not just a trip - everything about it is absolutely unforgettable. PS, you'll need sunscreen, since I chose to forget about the sun entirely to immerse in the magical beaches.

Definitely the highlight of our trip. We did a Similan island snorkelling package and it was brilliant. Beach is beautiful and water is crystal clear. Perfect for photos or videos. We got there when it was nice and quiet. Would highly recommend.

The place is like paradise and a must visit. Amazing powdery sand and clear blue water. Lots of tourists which makes it a bit annoying especially up on the rocks.

Natural water park. Beautiful place to visit. The iconic viewpoint that you hike up to is gorgeous, but it can get crowded if you come with a tour boat, and it may not be just your tour boat that arrives at the same time. Everybody is rushing to do the same thing at the same time. My suggestion is to do the opposite of what the guide tells you to do; you have to be by your boat at the time they let you, so others don't have to wait for you.

If you go on a private boat, you could relax here all day. The island offers a powdery sand beach and crystal-clear water. There is a lagoon spot just beneath the iconic rock where you can swim or picnic, which is way better than Disney water (It’s real and natural). Overall is less crowded than Phi Phi island. Its beauty level is the same as Maya bay, but you can swim here. It can be a good place for snorkeling when the water is calm and fewer boat traffic.

Despite the long journey, it’s definitely one of the memorable part of my trip in Phuket. The sea is that beautiful which looks unrealistic. Blue sky, white sands and the vast ocean- thanks for all the gifts from nature. Snorkeling is interesting- all kinds of colorful fishes and we are so lucky to meet a sea turtle!

A fantastically fun national park to explore. The hike up to Sail Rock wasn't too arduous. It has a beautiful view. Totally worth the adventure.
