Khao Takhian Ngo Viewpoint

Sunset? Sunrise? Both. This place is absolutely beautiful and shows 360degree view of Khao Kho. Met some really nice locals and took pictures with them! They were incredible and nice people. There is a definitely a story behind this place but sadly I can’t find it on google or everything was in thai “:( but this is a must go when in Khao Kho!
We reached at 3pm hence we did not managed to catch the sunset but nonetheless, the view is wonderful.

One of the most beautiful viewpoints in Khao Kho, from where you can look all the way down upon the roads near this hill. It's a perfect place to take pictures. At the time I was there, it was afternoon, but I've heard that sunset and sunrise here is very beautiful! The hill provides a 360 view of the area, so both sunset and sunrise can be seen here.

Come in early in the morning at around 6am before many arrives at the scenic spot. P.S. bring your hot coffee or chocolate and a portable chair👍

Fantastic view. with a view of the mountains on one side and a view of the sea on the other side. It is possible to camp overnight here. If you are arriving in the morning before sunrise, park your car at the car park and wait for the songthaew to take you up the hill. It costs 10 THB per person to take this songthaew.
By the way, too little rain means no mist. Too much mist is also no good. We came in early September and it rained both on the night before and the morning itself. The mist was so thick that it covered up the rising sun, meaning no nice orange glow in our photos. We also had to wait a looooong time for the mists to clear enough before the mountains can be seen. If you are hell bent on a good photo, do not plan too many things in your itinerary because it could be quite a wait.
